The year 2022 has come with a surge in the COVID-19 cases with the records of last year being broken. We have seen many celebrities announcing that they have tested positive for the vicious virus. Last week, it was Nakuul Mehta and Jankee Parekh, who had announced that their son, Sufi had tested positive for Omicron and now, Kishwer Merchantt and Suyyash Rai’s 4-month-old son, Nirvair Rai tested COVID positive.
It was on August 27, 2021, when Kishwer Merchantt and Suyyash Rai had announced the arrival of their baby boy, Nirvair Rai in the cutest way. The duo had shared the first family picture with their little munchkin and had captioned it as:
"27.08.2 welcome BABY RAI!!! It's a boy."

A few hours back, taking to her IG handle, Kishwer Merchantt penned an appreciation post for her husband, Suyyash Rai on their dating anniversary and revealed that their four-month-old son, Nirvair Rai has tested positive for COVID. Mentioning how she and Suyyash had started dating on this day 11 years ago and how he has grown mature, Kishwer thanked him for his support. She wrote:
“Appreciation Post: Firstly happy dating anniversary to us @suyyashrai. I know this guy since 11 years today and oh he has changed a lot.. have seen him mature , become more understanding, responsible and loving.”
Further, in her long note, Kishwer Merchantt mentioned how first her son, Nirvair’s nanny had tested positive for COVID and gradually the virus reached her four-month-old son. She added:
“5 days back Nirvair's nanny got covid , and what followed was a disaster!! Our househelp Sangeeta got it, she is in quarantine.. Sid suuyash's partner who is staying with us got infected.. And then the worse happened nirvair caught the virus too!! So the 2 of us had no one to cook and clean and ofcourse to even help with nirvair when he was so in pain and cranky!!”
Kishwer, later, thanked her husband, Suyyash Rai for being the best partner and helping her through these tough times. She concluded:
“@suyyashrai has been the best partner one could ever get, thanks to him we have smooth sailed our worst days with so much ease. He helped with everything, making breakfast for Sangeeta and Sid to massaging my back, wiping my tears, staying up with me, letting me rest while he would take care of bunny, entertain him when he would get cranky, put him to sleep and at he same time wash utensils and taking care of batuk and pablo.. I am so proud of him today for the person he is and has become.. glad I met you today 11 years back and got married to you Just one thing , stop overdoing the breakfast bit @nirvair.rai and I love you so much.”

On October 5, 2021, Kishwer and Suyyash had revealed their son's face with a cute video on their respective IG handles. In the first frame, their favourite doll, which they had always called ‘Humara bacha’ was seen lying in the crib. In the next frame, Nirvair was lying in the crib, looking adorable in a cute turban. Alongside it, the parents had written:
"1, 2, 3 REVEAL @nirvair.rai Kaha tha na jab bhi hoga Aisa hi hoga."
