Kiara Advani got married to the love of her life, Sidharth Malhotra on February 7, 2023, in Jaisalmer's Suryagarh Palace, followed by a lavish reception in Delhi and Mumbai. However, the duo's wedding was extremely intimate, and it was attended by their families and close friends in the industry, including Shahid Kapoor and his wife, Mira Rajput, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra and Juhi Chawla, among others. Still now, their wedding photos and videos are etched in the hearts of their millions of fans. Now, Kiara revealed some unknown facts from Sidharth's proposal to her and their wedding on the 'Koffee' couch.
After some exchanging vows in Jaisalmer, it was on February 10, 2023, when Kiara teased her fans with an extremely adorable video from her wedding, leaving her fans in awe of it. The beautiful varmala moment with the backdrop of the recreated version of the song, Ranjha from the duo's film, Shershaah, it was nothing less than a dreamy one. Now, Kiara graced the popular reality show, Koffee With Karan season 8, along with her Govinda Naam Mera co-star, Vicky Kaushal. During her appearance in the show's episode 7, Kiara reveals that Sidharth's gesture of looking into his watch was nothing enacted and completely real.

Talking about the same, Sidharth and Kiara's guest at their wedding, Karan Johar revealed on Koffee With Karan 8 that the actress was late. However, Karan was heard calling Sid-Kiara's wedding the best and mentioned, “It was so intimate wedding; they were so filmy when they met. I didn’t know that any of this was planned” Further, he hinted at the watch gesture the actor did during Kiara's entry. Talking about it, the actress also mentioned that it was an edited shot. However, to this, Karan replied, “That was edited because you were very late Kiara.” Soon, Kiara mentioned, “It was the earliest baraat.”
But Karan kept explaining to Vicky that for a long amount of time, Sidharth's baaraat was being patient and vibing altogether. However, Kiara was extremely late to her wedding, and everyone had started bitching about her. Mentioning how beautiful she looked once she walked the aisle, the ace director revealed that this had made the guests over there forget everything else, and laughed his heart out. In Karan Johar's words:
“You know how Punjabis are at the baaraat. The baaraat was filled with such vigour and energy which kept increasing. But then it reached a point where we were like, koi Kiara ko bulaao ab. Kab aayegi. It was getting so hot, and all of us were tired. So, she was late. By the end of it, you were really being bitched about. Everyone was actually giving gaalis to Kiara but when she came, she was looking so beautiful that it was all forgotten.”

Finally, Kiara accepted that she was late and clarified why her husband stared at his watch and then looked at her while she was walking down the aisle. Kiara also explained the real reason behind the same and mentioned that the problem was with her wedding ensemble, for which she was late. Further, talking about how her bridesmaids were left disappointed due to this, Kiara added:
“Ya and it was from all over. There was some issue happening with my outfit and I got ready very late. So, I couldn't even click photos with my bridesmaids. I don’t have any pictures. My friends have actually posted their photo saying, ‘We swear there was a bride’ because we didn’t get a picture. I was late.”
