Kavya Gowda is one of the stunning actresses in the South Indian entertainment industry. She made her debut with the Kannada serial Shubha Vivaha and has shown her acting prowess in films like Buckaasura, Sakkath Risk, Damayanthi, and MBA. On the work front, she was last seen in the daily soap, Radha Ramana, and next, she will appear in an upcoming short film, 18 Hours, alongside Praveen Das and Samuel Haris. Now, she is also counting days to embrace parenthood with her husband, Somshekar, for the first time in their lives. For the unversed, Kavya and Somshekhar tied the knot on December 2, 2021, in Bengaluru.
Recently, Kavya Gowda’s loving husband, Somshekhar and her family hosted an intimate and traditional baby shower ceremony for her. After the beautiful celebration, the actress took to her Instagram handle and teased her fans with lovely glimpses of the same. In a video she shared, we can get stunning glimpses of the baby shower ceremony, including its flowery decoration, vibrant-hued props and many more. She was seen performing the ceremony's rituals with great love and grace. Indeed, her pictures and videos radiate pure happiness. However, Kavya's pregnancy glow was unmissable.

For the joyous occasions, Kavya stunned in a pastel yellowish-green saree with a contrasting purple border. The entire saree featured heavy embroidery and intricate zari works. A matching purple blouse with similar motifs completed the look. She accessorised her look with multiple emerald-adorned necklaces, matching bangles, rings, a sleek maang teeka, jhumkas, and a unique kamarbandh. Subtle makeup, a middle-parted bun hairdo adorned with flowers, and mehendi-cladded hands added stars to her overall look. On the other hand, her husband was dressed in a traditional golden ensemble.
In an interview with ETimes post her traditional baby shower ceremony, Kavya Gowda expressed her excitement as she is ready to welcome her first child with her husband, Somshekar this February 2024. Moreover, when she was asked what she is expecting, the actress revealed that she wants a 'mini me' i.e., a baby girl. However, mentioning that she is expecting a healthy child and said:
“I am really enjoying all the love and pampering, especially from my husband. I couldn’t have asked for more. I want a mini me, so I am team girl. I always wanted to have a girl baby ever since I was a little girl. But, that said, any child is a blessing and I am grateful for this life.”

On their second-year anniversary. Kavya and Somshekar announced their 'good news'. They shared pictures clicked at a beach while she was seen flaunting her baby bump. While Kavya looked graceful in a white-hued flowy dress adorned with orange prints all over it, her husband wore a white shirt paired with matching pants. Sharing the delightful news on social media, she expressed their excitement for the new chapter of their lives. She also revealed that they are expecting their little ones in 2024. "The best secret we've kept so far and we are very happy to share with our dear one's is Our LITTLE BUNDLE of joy arriving 2024. Can't wait to start a new journey and yes my favourite letter S (heart emoji) Happy 2years ANNIVERSARY to my (Bossbaby )better in every way half, in the last 2 years, we have shared so much, I have watched you become more responsible, more caring and more mature in a way and I'm excited for what the next will bring..Words aren't enough to let you know what you mean to me. I feel loved when I notice how you remember the little things about me. The thing is my heart is loving you more than I planned it to."
