Kartik Aaryan is one of the much-loved actors in Bollywood. The actor rules in millions of hearts courtesy of his acting talents, good looks, down-to-earth personality, and much more. The actor made his acting debut with the movie, Pyaar Ka Punchnama in the year 2011. And since then, there has been no looking back for the actor. Kartik showed off his acting skills in several movies like, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luka Chuppi, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Satyaprem Ki Katha and Shehzada among others. However, did you know that Kartik didn't take any fee for his role in Shehzada? Yes! You read it right! Moreover, recently, the actor opened up about his decision not to take any fee for his role in the movie.
For those who don't know, Kartik Aaryan was also the producer of the movie, Shehzada, wherein he acted in the lead role alongside Kriti Sanon. However, talking about the same, in an interview with Film Companion, Kartik Aaryan revealed that he was not a producer in the movie and rather he gave up on his fee. Speaking about the reason, Kartik said that he was given the credit of a producer as the film was going through a money crisis, and he decided not to take any charges. Kartik mentioned:
"What happened with Shezada was, I was not a producer-producer as such. I was given that credit on the basis that the film was going into a money crisis, and I gave up on my fees.”

Going further in the interview, Kartik Aaryan mentioned that not only did he give up on the fee but also contributed financial support to the project so that it wouldn't get stuck in between. He further heaped praise on the producers for acknowledging his help and efforts. Kartik also shared that he was essentially just acting as a producer. Kartik can be quoted as saying:
"The producers were gracious enough that they credited me for that reason."
While speaking about his plans regarding venturing into production, Kartik Aaryan mentioned that he is currently focused on his acting career. He also added that he is not looking into producing a film as it requires significant time and attention. However, he also hinted at thinking about the same if something comes up to that.
In the same interview, Kartik Aaryan revealed that he doesn't know how to check his bank balance. He also stated that his mom looks after his finances. Sharing an anecdote about the same, Kartik stated that he wanted to buy a car on his birthday, but his mom told him that they had no money. Kartik added that as he didn't know how to check his bank balance, he had to believe what his mom told him.

For the unversed, Kartik Aaryan has been linked with several of his co-stars throughout his career in Bollywood. One of his much-talked-about relationships was with Sara Ali Khan. However, Sara, in her appearance with Koffee With Karan, openly discussed the same and revealed how it's tough to be friends with an ex. And hitting back at the same, Kartik, in the same interview with Film Companion, stated that one should always respect their relationship even if it's over.
