Over the years, Bollywood has seen some of the best love stories, which are no less than fantasy. And one such love story was of the adorable couple, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, who were once hailed as the 'IT' couple of Tinseltown. While the two parted ways long ago and moved on in their lives, their fans often dig out some unseen and rare interviews and video clips, leaving everyone nostalgic.
Recently, we stumbled upon an unseen video montage from the set of the popular talk show, Koffee With Karan season 1, wherein Kareena Kapoor spilled the beans about her relationship with Shahid Kapoor. In the first clip, Kareena was seen gracing the couch with actress, Rani Mukerji, and both of them looked gorgeous in their respective outfits. During the show, when the host, Karan Johar asked Kareena, “Are you seeing Shahid Kapoor?”, she started laughing. However, she later gave a beautiful response and said:
“He plays a very very special part in my life. I mean you can see me, he brings a smile to my face, I am twinkling my eyes..so he is the special someone.”

The next clip was from Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's appearance on an episode of Koffee With Karan season 2 wherein the duo opened up about their relationship for the first time. In the video, Karan asked Shahid and Kareena to reveal some interesting details about their proposal story and share how their love story blossomed. KJo was heard saying:
“Do you remember how it all started? Anything interesting to how he proposed to you or asked you out?”
While everyone was hoping that Shahid would have gone down on one knee to propose to Kareena, the latter left everyone surprised by her answer. Kareena shared that she chased Shahid for two months and even asked him to meet her, while he was playing hard to get. The actress added that it was she who made the first move and accelerated their relationship. In her words:
“He did not even bother, for 2 months I had to chase him. I was the one who was initiating SMSs’, calls, asking him to meet..he was kind of shy and finally we met up and things started, but it was me who made the first move and accelerated the relationship.”

Kareena Kapoor was bowled over by Shahid Kapoor's looks since the day he made his Bollywood debut with the film, Ishq Vishq. As it was love at first sight, the duo soon started dating each other and painted the town red with their PDA. Shahid and Kareena were always vocal about their relationship, and their fans hailed the duo's unfiltered love for each other. However, the news about Shahid and Kareena's breakup came as a shock to the entire nation, as everyone was waiting for the couple to announce their wedding.
While the real reason behind Shahid and Kareena's breakup is still unknown, according to some reports, it happened because of the actress' mother, Babita Kapoor and sister, Karisma Kapoor. Reportedly, Babita and Karisma were against Kareena's relationship with Shahid and continuously advised her to break up. However, Kareena, being head over heels in love with Shahid, reportedly asked producers to cast him opposite her, which irked her mother. Since Babita didn't like her daughter, Kareena’s extreme obsession with Shahid and thought it to be quite unprofessional, she eventually told her to part ways with him.
After their breakup, Kareena Kapoor found love in the arms of actor, Saif Ali Khan, and later tied the knot with him. On the other hand, Shahid Kapoor found his soulmate in Mira Rajput.
