K-Drama 'Suspicious Partner' Set For Indian Remake, Lead Actor, Ji Chang Wook Says, 'I'm Hesitant..'

Ji Chang Wook is a name from South Korean showbiz, which is synonymous with versatility. The 36-year-old started his career in musical theatre and later transitioned to television in 2008. He has since explored various genres, including family dramas and historical shows, which have solidified his position in the industry. His role in Empress Ki gained him worldwide recognition, while his performance in Healer cemented his status as a fan favourite.

Ji Chang Wook has captivated K-drama fanatics with his projects, such as The K2, Suspicious Partner, Meting Me Softly, Backstreet Rookie, Lovestruck In The City, and many more. Moreover, two of his recent releases, The Worst Of Evil, and Welcome To Samdal-ri, are a testimony of the actor’s versatility.

Ji Chang Wook shared his feelings on the Indian remake of Suspicious Partner

Recently, the South Korean actor, Ji Chang Wook, did an interview with India Today. He shared various aspects of his life and also opened up about his feelings regarding the Indian remake of his popular 2017 K-drama, Suspicious Partner. As per several media reports, the K-drama, which featured Chang Wook alongside the South Korean actress, Na Ji Hyun, is going to be produced into an Indian serial titled A Legal Affair and will reportedly feature Angad Bedi and Barkha Singh in lead roles.

During the conversation, Chang Wook was asked to share his thoughts on the same, and the actor expressed his happiness about the Indian remake of his beloved 2017 K-drama. He added that he would love everyone to watch the Indian series. Ji Chang Wook said:

“I'm really happy to hear that my beloved series, 'Suspicious Partner,' is being remade in India. I'm hesitant to give any advice because I'm sure great actors will participate in the remake. I hope everyone who watches it will enjoy it.”

Ji Chang Wook shared his thoughts on the ending of Worst Of Evil

In the same interview, Chang Wook talked about the conclusion of Worst Of Evil, which received mixed netizen reviews. His bromance with Wi Ha Joon was one of the highlights of the K-drama. He said that the ending of the drama was satisfactory, in his opinion. He said:

“I'm personally satisfied with the ending of Jun Mo, Ki Cheol, and Eui Jeong. I wanted it to be a very pessimistic and bittersweet ending.”

When Ji Chang Wook expressed his love for India

Previously, Chang Wook has expressed his love for Indian cinema. He admitted that he has been curious about India and is a huge fan of Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots and SS Rajamouli’s RRR. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the South Korean actor mentioned that he would love to visit India someday and meet his fans. Ji Chang Wook said:

“I haven't had the opportunity to visit India yet. It's one of the countries I'd love to visit, so if I ever get the chance, I'd love to go, and if a good opportunity comes along, I think it would be a great experience to star in an Indian production.”
