And honestly, most of the celeb couples chosen for the lead parts have such good chemistry together that we cannot help but pray for them to start dating in real life as well.

While some relationships have worked out in the long run and are now ‘couple goals’, others could not make it due to their indifferences. Here are a few K-drama couples who have dated each other in real life.
Giving their fans a New Year's treat, the celebrity couple, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin confirmed their relationship on January 1, 2021. The duo is famous for their role in the rom-com, Crash Landing On You. Their acting as ‘Ri Jyeong Hyeok’ and ‘Yoon Se Ri’ received much appreciation from the audience.
Rumours started making rounds that the two actors were dating. After this, the agencies of the respective actors confirmed that their warm feelings for one another had blossomed into a romantic relationship. Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin got married in 2022 and welcomed a baby boy in December last year.
Ji Sung and Lee Bo-young have been wed for almost a decade now. Their bond is said to be one of the strongest in the Korean entertainment industry. They first got acquainted on the set of the TV show, Save the Last Dance For Me in 2004. They officially confirmed their relationship about three years later.
They took their relationship to the next level by announcing their engagement in August 2013 through handwritten letters posted on each other's fan sites. On September 27, 2013, the couple got married. They have been blessed with two children, a son named Kwak Woo Sung and a daughter named Kwak Ji Yoo.
The actors, Jin Tae Hyun and Park Si Eun, first became acquainted while working together on the drama, Pure Pumpkin Flower in 2010. The actors later starred together in the 2013 romance soap series, Hold My Hand. After this, the couple began dating and tied the knot in 2015.
The couple adopted a daughter. As per reports in Soompi, the pair adopted a girl they had met at an orphanage while on their honeymoon in Jeju Island. Last year, Park Si Eun got pregnant and was due for her delivery, but 20 days prior to it, she miscarried.
The 2009 romantic comedy, Creating Destiny is one of the most highly appreciated dramas of that time. And the chemistry between Ki Tae Young’s character ‘Kim Yeo Joon’ and Eugene’s character ‘Han Sang Eun’ popularised the drama even more. The on-screen couple’s romance became a reality when the lead actors got into a relationship. On July 23, 2011, actor, Ki Tae Young married actress, Eugene.

Ryu Jun Yeol and Lee Hye Ri initially met in 2015 while working together on the family drama, Reply 1988. Both actors played members of the 'Ssangmundong squad' and boyhood friends ‘Kim Jung Hwan' played by Ryu Jun Yeol and ‘Sung Deok Sun’ by Lee Hye Ri. The fans appreciated their characters on-screen, and to their surprise, they even started dating off-screen.
Ryu Jun Yeol and Lee Hye Ri confirmed their relationship in August 2017. The couple prefers to remain low-key in the media, but despite that, they have a very strong relationship and have been together for almost six years now.

The lead couple, Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung, of the rom-com, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo dated briefly. Their romance blossomed on the sets of their 2016 drama. In 2017, there were rumours that the duo was dating. Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyun did not leave their eager fans waiting and quickly confirmed the rumours.
But to their disappointment, the couple called it quits in August the same year, just four months after dating.

The celebrity couple, Kim Bum and Moon Geun Young sparked dating rumours while filming their romance drama, Goddess Of Fire. In 2013, the couple’s respective agencies confirmed that they were dating in real life. Kim Bum and Moon Geun Young were cast as a married couple in the drama. The couple never kept their relationship a secret and were open about it to the public. As per reports, they were also seen vacationing in Europe, enjoying their time together. But destiny had other plans, and the pair broke up in 2014 owing to their busy schedules.
The very popular OG of K-drama, Lee Min Ho, once dated his City Hunter co-star, Park Min Young. The couple met on the sets of the thriller drama, City Hunter in 2011. Rumours of the couple dating surfaced in the media, but both their agencies denied such rumours at first. However, a month later, after the show’s finale episode, the couple confirmed their relationship in August. But it did not last long. After only five months of dating, the couple officially announced their separation on January 25, 2012.
Korean actors, Ahn Jae Hyun and Koo Hye Sun had a picture-perfect relationship. Koo Hye Sun is famous for playing ‘Geum Jan Di’ in the 2009 K-drama, Boys Over Flowers. Ahn Jae Hyun started his career as a fashion model in 2009. The duo first met on the sets of romance drama, Blood in 2015. As per reports, since then, the two actors were often seen kissing each other off-screen.
On May 21, 2016, they tied the knot. Later, in 2017, they starred in Newlyweds Diary, a reality series about a newlywed couple's life. But destiny had other plans in store for them. Ahn Jae Hyun asked Koo Hye Sun for a divorce in August 2019. After disclosing that her difficult marriage had caused her emotional and mental suffering, the actress, Koo Hye Sun later declared her retirement from show business.
