Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan tied the knot with popular model, Safa Baig on February 4, 2016, and the two started their forever journey with one another. The duo had first met at a social gathering, and despite being ten years younger than Irfan, Safa had fallen in love with him. After two years of dating each other, the couple had said qubool hai in Mecca, and are now blessed with two sons, Imran Khan and Suleiman Khan.
To mark their 8th wedding anniversary, Irfan Pathan took to his IG handle and shared a beautiful picture with his wife, Safa Baig. In the photo, Safa looked beautiful in a beige-hued embroidered suit paired with a dupatta. She completed her look with subtle makeup and covered her hair with her dupatta. On the other hand, Irfan looked dapper in a blue-hued kurta-pyjama. It was interesting to see that Irfan revealed his wife's face on their special day and swooned everyone's hearts.

Alongside the adorable picture, Irfan penned a heartfelt note for his darling wife and lauded her for being his constant companion. Expressing his love for his wife, the doting husband wrote:
"Infinite roles mastered by one soul – mood booster, comedian, troublemaker, and the constant companion, friend, and mother of my children. In this beautiful journey, I cherish you as my wife. Happy 8th my love."
On March 5, 2023, Irfan Pathan graced Sania Mirza's farewell party along with his family. However, the cricketer was mercilessly trolled for hiding his wife, Safa Baig’s face at the event. Safa looked stunning in a full-sleeved floor-length attire and covered her head and face with a dupatta and mask. However, her covered look did not please the netizens, and they slammed the cricketer for hiding his wife’s face.

Once, a picture of Irfan and his family was posted on the IG handle of their son, Imran. But people started slamming Irfan for blurring the picture of his wifey, Safa. In an interview with The Times Of India, soon after the incident, Safa revealed that she dislikes being the centre of attraction as she is a very private person. She further added that she blurred her face as per her choice and nobody forced her. In her words:
“I had created an Instagram account for Imran and I post stuff there, so that he can look back at some lovely memories once he grows up. I handle this account and for this particular photograph, I had blurred my face out of choice. It was completely my decision and Irfan had absolutely nothing to do with it. I never thought that posting a harmless family photograph would create a needless controversy like this. I am a very private person and I never like to be the centre of attraction. Even when Irfan gets papped, I immediately move away."
