Dharmendra often stays in the headlines for his personal life, especially the dynamics between his two families. While the actor was previously married to Prakash Kaur, he fell in love with Hema Malini and tied the knot with her. Now, the actor has two families, one with Prakash Kaur and their kids, and the other one with Hema and their daughters. Hema always ensures to stay away from Dharmendra's first family and rarely talks about them.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Hema Malini opened up about her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol's reunion with Dharmendra's sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Expressing her happiness about the same, Hema shed some light on the current dynamics between the two families and said:
“I am feeling very happy, I do not feel it is something new because it is very normal. Many times they keep coming home and all but we do not publish it anywhere, we are not the type to take pictures and immediately put it up on Instagram. We are not that kind of a family."

The rumours about the alleged feud between the two families have been doing the rounds for some time now. However, Esha Deol put an end to it after she hosted a special screening of her step-brother, Sunny Deol's film, Gadar 2, at her house. The actress even shared a picture of herself posing with her siblings together, and everyone was stunned by how good and happy they looked together. Talking about the same, Hema Malini stated:
“We are all very much together, always together. Any problem we are always together with each other. So, the press got it and it is nice, they are happy about it, and I am also happy."
In another conversation with AajTak, Hema Malini talked about her bond with Dharmendra's first family and revealed that she doesn't understand why people think they are separated. The veteran actress also ended the buzz around her absence from Karan Deol's wedding and mentioned that it happened due to 'certain reasons'. Elaborating on the same, Hema Malini said:
"It is funny how people make it look like we are separated. We are always together, whole family is with us. For certain reasons, they were not in the marriage and that is a different matter. But Sunny, Bobby always come during Raksha Bandhan since the beginning."
Well, this is not the first time that Hema Malini left us surprised by her heartfelt statements about Dharmendra's first family. A few days back, she praised Sunny Deol and his acting skills in the hit film, Gadar 2. The veteran actress watched the film on August 18, 2023, and interacted with the media stationed at the theatre. When Hema was asked to share her review of the movie, she said that Sunny was super in the film. Hema Malini was quoted as saying:
"Sunny is superb, Utkarsh, Anil Sharma ji's son unhone ne bhi bohut sundar acting kiya hai. Jo nayi ladki hai, woh bhi bohut acchi hai. Yeh picture dekh kar ek dum rasjtra k prati jo bhav hone chahiye, patriotism, woh bohut hi hai."

In an interview with Zoom Digital, Hema Malini was asked about her thoughts on the kissing scene between her husband, Dharmendra and actress, Shabana Azmi in the film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Responding to the same, she said that she has not seen the movie yet, but she is happy that people have loved Dharmendra in the film. Hema further continued that Dharmendra often sits at home and watches his old videos in his leisure time. Adding that the actor often asks her about his looks, Hema said:
"I have not seen it. I am sure people have loved him in the film. I am so happy for Dharam ji, because he loves to be in front of the camera, all the time. He cannot live without it. Ghar mein bhi baithke, woh apni purani video dekhenge aur poochenge, 'Main kaisa lag raha hoon?'"
We are happy to hear that the feud between the two families of Dharmendra is over!
