The film industry and the cricketing world are historically known to have shared a special bond, since there have been quite a few number of couples that get formed between members of both fields. One such actress-cricketer jodi has been of Yuvraaj Singh and Hazel Keech. The duo had met one another in a public event and flames had sparked between the two almost instantaneously. They got engaged in 2015 and it was a year later that they tied the knot following Sikh and Hindu traditions. The two are proud parents to their son, Orion.
Yuvraaj Singh and Hazel Keech’s wedding was one of the most sought after celebrations back in the day. While pictures and videos from the same had circulated all over the media in no time, there was one key factor which has remained quite lesser-known about their marriage. Well, for the unversed, Hazel Keech had to change her name to Gurbasant Kaur in order to marry Yuvi as per Sikh traditions. Hazel, who was born to a British father and Mauritian-born Bihari-Hindu mother, adopted this new name as suggested by saint Balvinder Singh during the duo’s Anand Karaj ceremony in Chandigarh.

Hazel Keech has been the biggest cheerleader for her husband, Yuvraaj and has been beside him through thick and thin. Despite Yuvi’s illustrious career and public image outside, it has been Hazel who has been the only grounding factor for the star cricketer. And so, when Yuvraaj had announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2019, it was Hazel who had turned extremely emotional. Taking to her social media handle, Hazel had dropped a picture from Yuvi’s retirement speech and penned a heart-melting caption, that could be read as:
"And, with that, its the end of an era. Be proud of yourself husband, now onto the next chapter.... love you @yuvisofficial." Undeniably, an era has ended today!”
Yuvraaj and Hazel were a hotly spoken-about couple back when there were popular reports of them being in a relationship. While they never spoke about it openly in the past, it was once during the couple’s presence in a show where Yuvi had recalled an anecdote from his dating years with Hazel. He had revealed how she would seldom not turn up for their scheduled dates. In his words:
“For the first three years, I kept trying to get her to meet me for coffee. She would agree every time I messaged her, but on the appointed day, she would switch off her phone and not turn up.”

In their personal lives, it was in 2022 when Yuvi paaji and Hazel hopped on to the parenthood journey and welcomed their son, Orion into their lives. The little man has indeed changed the couple’s life completely and has filled it with many colours. The doting parents often share glimpses of the special moments with their son, which are indeed too cute to be missed.
