Bollywood’s ace choreographer, Ganesh Acharya is known for his choreography skills in movies like Bodyguard, Singham, ABCD, Bajirao Mastani, Agneepath, and many others. In his career spanning more than three decades, Ganesh has worked on some hit dance numbers and made a name for himself. On the personal front, Ganesh Acharya had got married to the love of his life, Vidhi, in November 2000. The couple is blessed with a talented daughter named, Soundarya Acharya, who is also a dancer.
For the unversed, in 2020, a woman had filed a complaint against the 50-year-old choreographer and had accused him of sexually harassing her after she had turned down his advances. It had so happened that the woman was working as a junior dancer on a project with Ganesh and had gone to his office to collect her dues worth Rs 25,000. She had accused him of making lewd comments, showing her pornographic content and molesting her.

Now, in an interview with India.com, Ganesh Acharya opened up about the sexual harassment accusations levied against him. The ace choreographer revealed his family’s reactions on the #MeToo allegations and shared that his wife, Vidhi, and their daughter, Soundarya stood beside him through it all. He added that he knew he was right and his family believed him, and that's what mattered to him. In his words:
"Dekhiye ye kya hai na, mere dost bolte hai ki Ganesh agar naam kamana hai to ye sab tackle to karna hi padega. Lekin meri wife, meri beti, meri maa, ye sab mere saath me hi the. Mere paas rahe or mere saath khade rahe. Mai ekdum sachai ke sath khada raha or aaj aap logo ke samne hu. Jo bhi cheezein jo chal rahi hai, aap jitna bhi acha karne ki soch lo, kuchh log use galat bana hi denge.Mujhe koi farq nahi padta meri family mere sath hai."
Further in the interview, when Ganesh was asked whether his work had got affected by the allegations or not, the choreorgrapher revealed that the industry has been kind to him. He shared that he kept on getting work in the industry and added that his friends had told him that with fame defamation happens. He said:
"Nahi kuchh bhi nahi. Sabko pata hai ki Ganesh Acharya kaisa hai or uska kaam kaisa hai. Or jo kuchh bhi ho raha hai, sabko pta hai ki isme kitni sachai hai. Isliye sab mere sath hai or mai continuously kaam kar raha hu. Jin ladies ne mere upar allegations lagaye, maine unse kabhi baat karne ki koshish nahi ki or court me case chal raha hai. Baat unse ki jati hai jinhe aap jaante ho, unn ladies ko to mai janta bhi nhi."

Earlier, reports were rife that Ganesh Acharya was dating actress, Daisy Shah while the two were working together in the former's dance group. Daisy was one of the best dancers in Ganesh's dance group, and later on, had become his assistant choreographer. As per the reports, their alleged affair had also got serious with time. From Ganesh's marriage with his wife, Vidhi Acharya going in shambles to reports of Daisy receiving a swanky car and a luxurious flat from the choreographer, their relationship rumours were all over the headlines. However, the choreographer had refuted all the reports.
On the work front, Ganesh Acharya will be next seen in the film, Dehati Disco.
