Rakhi Sawant is one of the familiar faces in the entertainment industry. The actress never skips a chance to leave her fans in splits with her antics. From several movies, series, and reality shows, Rakhi won much attention for her performances. She was one of the finalists of Bigg Boss 4. For those who don't know, Rakhi played the part of a college girl named 'Mini' in Farah Khan's directorial debut, Main Hoon Na, starring Shah Rukh Khan. And now, Farah revealed an unheard anecdote about Rakhi's audition.
In a candid conversation with Mashable India, Farah Khan opened up about the iconic film, Main Hoon Na. The filmmaker shared that Ayesha Takia was appointed in Amrita Rao's role in the film, but as the former got busy with shooting for another project, Amrita was roped in 15 days before the shooting of Main Hoon Na started. Going forward in the interview, Farah talked about Rakhi Sawant and stated that she never threw any tantrums on the sets, and her only request to Farah was to let her stand beside Shah Rukh in one of the songs.

Going further in the interview, Farah Khan shared that Rakhi Sawant was roped in 5 days ahead of the film's shooting. However, as the role of 'Mini' in the film was supposed to be sassy, the assistant was a bit worried. Sharing more about the same, Farah added that Rakhi was totally herself while auditioning. The filmmaker stated that Rakhi was in burkha, and she asked to roll the camera. Farah added that Rakhi stunned everyone later after she took off her burkha because she was wearing a bikini underneath. Farah added:
"The assistant was wary as it was ‘the hot girl’s role’. However, Rakhi in her typical style told him to roll the camera. Then she took off the burkha and the entire camera was shaking as she was wearing a bikini underneath.”
In the same interview, Farah Khan mentioned that after Rakhi Sawant reached Darjeeling for the shooting of Main Hoon Na, the team's only worry was to cover the actress up. The filmmaker added that she was offering Rakhi sweaters and berets, but the latter wanted to expose her body. This is why Farah had to assure Rakhi that she also looks good in sweaters. Farah added:
"Once she came to Darjeeling, our worry was how to cover her up. I was giving her sweaters and berets and she wanted to expose. I had to tell her you will look lovely like this as well."
As per a report by SpotboyE, Rakhi Sawant once opened up about her bagging the role in Main Hoon Na. The actress shared that things weren't that great at first, and she used to work hard and eat only a bowl of dal to look slim. Rakhi added that one day, she got a call from Farah Khan's office for the audition for SRK-starrer, Main Hoon Na, and she lost consciousness after that.

Rakhi Sawant also added that she was told that she was called for a glamorous character, but the chawl she was staying in back then was against such glamorous clothes. Talking about how she managed to step out from the chawl in glamorous clothes, Rakhi added that her mom gave her curtains, and she draped them upon her glamorous clothes and then stepped out for auditions. Rakhi said:
"I was told that I would have to look glamorous as the character was such. But in the chawl that I was staying at, you couldn't step out in such clothes. So, I asked my mother what should I do? She gave me a set of curtains, which I wrapped around my glamorous clothes and went for the audition."
