Becoming a mother is one of the most beautiful feelings in a woman’s life, and we bet, Ekta Kapoor is going through the same in her personal life. Riding high on her professional life with the success of her shows, good news came in heaps and bounty for the producer-director of the industry, Ekta with the arrival of her little bundle of joy, her first child, Ravie Kapoor, born to her through surrogacy. The Kapoor clan in on cloud nine ever since the arrival of Ravie and they left no stone unturned to celebrate this momentous moment.
On February 11, 2019, Ekta Kapoor hosted a naamkaran ceremony of the junior Kapoor in the house and who’s who from the industry came to bless the newborn. The family members, Jeetendra, Shobha Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor and his son Laksshya were spotted at the venue. The ‘big brother’, Laksshya looked cute as a button in a yellow kurta and white pyjama. The newbie mommy, Ekta glowed in a stunning light yellow sharara.
Celebrities including Karan Johar, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Abhishek Bachchan, Hiroo Johar, Smriti Irani, Farah Khan, Shamita Shetty, Urvashi Sharma, Urvashi Dholakia, Divya Dutta, Rahul Bose, Mona Singh, Krystle D'Souza, Pragya Yadav, Sakshi Tanwar, Shabir Ahluwalia, Kanchi Kaul, Mouni Roy, Hiten Tejwani, Swara Bhasker, Huma Qureshi, Anita Hassanandani, Rohit Reddy, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, Vivek Dahiya, Rhea Kapoor, Karan Patel, Ankita Bhargava amongst others graced the ceremony. Sometime back, Ekta shared a picture of gleeful Laksshya, keeping a watch on how his baby brother is doing, who is sleeping peacefully in his white cot. One glimpse at Laksshya and you will see the look on his face which says, “When is he going to get up and play with me?” Bua-cum-mommy, Ekta Kapoor captioned the picture as, “Big brother is watching!!!” Tusshar too spoke about the same and was quoted as saying, “He is very happy in fact, the whole day he just keeps inquiring about him. Like, Bhai kya kar raha hai? Bhai so raha hai kya? Abhi kahan hai. Whole time he is just talking about him.”
Announcing the arrival of Ravie Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor shared on social media, "By God’s grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby’s birth has made me. Everything in life doesn’t go the way you want it to but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today I feel immensely blessed to become a parent. It is an emotional moment for me and my family and I can’t wait to begin this new journey of being a mother to my little bundle of joy, Ravie Kapoor."
Elated grandfather, Jeetendra expressed his excitement on the arrival of his grandson, Ravie, and stated to Mid-Day, "Shobha and I were over the moon when we heard it first. We are looking forward to him coming home. Our family makes daily rounds of the suburban hospital where the baby is currently under supervision. My family says he (Ravie) looks just like me, but then, a child's looks keep changing every day. It's tough to say who he will resemble in the future. Now, I have Laksshya and Ravie — they are the apple of my eye. I can die peacefully now as both my babies have their own babies."
In an interview with SpotboyE, newbie mamu, Tusshar Kapoor expressed his happiness and was quoted as saying, “Ravie is the second child in the family and it’s a joy. Honestly, I haven't got much time to spend with my nephew as I was stuck with my work but tomorrow onward I can spend time with him and play. Frankly, I just can't wait for that moment.” He also shared that Ekta is devoting a lot of time to her newborn son, “Of course. Ekta is spending a lot of time with her son. It sounds odd for me to call her Ekta's son (laughs). It’s a new thing which I need to get used to. I just waiting for him to start crawling and grow up so that I can play with him even more.”
Speaking about how his sister is devoting most of the time to her newborn son and why does it feel odd for him to call Ravie, Ekta’s son, Tusshar shared, “Of course. Ekta is spending a lot of time with her son. It sounds odd for me to call her Ekta's son (laughs). It’s a new thing which I need to get used to. I just waiting for him to start crawling and grow up so that I can play with him even more.”
