Dilip Joshi Threatened To Leave 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' For THIS Reason, 'Kursi Feki Thi'

Dilip Joshi plays the role of 'Jethalal Gada' in the longest-running sitcom in India, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The show started in 2008 and is still going strong, with a few hiccups here and there. Many of the OG characters have quit the show for one reason or another and have revealed many secrets of the behavioural dysfunctionalities on the sets. Now, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal has revealed why Dilip Joshi once threatened to quit the show.

Dilip Joshi once had a massive fight with Sohil Rahmani

Jennifer Mistry previously played the role of 'Mrs Roshan Sodhi' in TMKOC. In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, the actress revealed that Dilip Joshi once had a huge fight with Sohil Rahmani. For the uninitiated, Sohil Rahmani is the operational head of the show. As Jennifer narrates, once on the show's set, Dilip Joshi and Sohil got into a heated argument, and it escalated to such an extent that the latter threw a chair towards Dilip Joshi.

Jennifer further divulged that after the big showdown, Dilip Joshi made it clear that he would leave the show if Sohil continued to work with him. So, to avoid any more conflict, Sohil was instructed to stay away from Dilip, and this continued for two long years. The other cast members even boycotted Sohil due to his misbehaviour.

Sohil Rahmani hits back at Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal and calls everything a 'publicity stunt'

In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Sohil Rahmani responded to the serious allegations made by Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal. He questioned Jennifer's decision to return to the show, TMKOC, in 2016, despite her alleged problems. He emphasized that her return was voluntary and not forced. Sohil's response underscores the gravity of the situation and the importance of understanding the context. He stated:

"If Jennifer had so many problems with the show and the producer, why did she come back and join us in 2016. Nobody had forced her. Why did she message Asit bhai ki, 'Main sudhar gayi hoon, sir mujhe ek mauka do'. So, I am unable to understand her issues."
