Dia Mirza is one of the most promising actresses of her generation. She has been a part of many films, including Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, Dus, Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai, Parineeta, Kurbaan and many others. She was last seen in the film, Dhak Dhak. Now, in an interview, Dia revealed how she has been enjoying her acting career to its fullest at the age of 40. However, there was a time when the media was extremely brutal towards her. Thus, the stunning actress revealed how she dealt with that and also threw light on the matters of privacy then and now.
In an interview with BollywoodLife, Dia Mirza opened up about the time when she used to face brutal media reviews. Elaborating more on this, the actress revealed that she used to get traumatised due to the same. However, she feels that now the reviewers have become more dignified and restrict themselves from passing personal comments on the celebrities. She said:
"In our times, the media was brutal. I remember some reviewers would get so personal while evaluating work. I would be traumatized after reading such reviews. I feel reviewers are more dignified now, and do not pass personal comments. I feel people have a right to comment on work. It helps us improve. But I feel in general, we should be kinder to one another, the world will be a better place then."

In the same conversation, Dia also addressed the huge debate between nepo kids and outsiders. She mentioned that although many eminent A-listers in the industry have the privilege of being selective about what to share on social media, there is immense pressure on every newcomer. Further, mentioning that younger actors have to struggle a lot now, she added:
"We had so much more privacy in our times. Still, we are so selective about what we want to share on social media. Young actors may or may not have that luxury. When they put out so much, they have to learn to deal with brickbats."

In another interaction with Bollywood Bubble, Dia Mirza opened up about facing rejections in the film industry when she started her career in the world of cinema merely at the age of 18. While she didn’t hail from any privileged or filmy background, the actress mentioned how she was frequently rejected by a number of A-listed filmmakers, just because she was good-looking. She further revealed that now, on the contrary, many filmmakers approach her for work.
