Legendary actor, Dharmendra is on cloud nine as his grandson, Karan Deol is all set to embark on a new journey in his life. The star kid will soon tie the knot with the love of his life, Drisha Acharya. For those who don't know, Drisha is the granddaughter of the veteran filmmaker, Bimal Roy. Rumours about Karan and Drisha's wedding has been rife in the media for quite some time now. However, neither he nor his family members have said anything about the speculated wedding. But now, finally, the doting dadu, Dharmendra opened up about his pota's shaadi.
In an interview with ETimes, the veteran actor, Dharmendra opened up about his grandson, Karan Deol's wedding. Talking about the same, the actor mentioned that the entire Deol clan is happy as they are going to celebrate a family wedding after a long time. Dharmendra also showered love on his grandson and said that he is happy that Karan finally found his love. In his words:
"A marriage in the family after a long time. Karan is a very good boy. He is a very caring person. Bahut acha lag raha hai that he has found his partner."

In the same interview, Dharmendra also talked about how he got to know about Karan's relationship. The actor mentioned that his grandson didn't directly tell him about his girlfriend, Drisha. Dharmendra added that Karan first introduced his ladylove to his mother, Pooja Deol, who then told her husband, Sunny Deol about the same. And it was Sunny from whom Dharmendra got to know about Karan and Drisha's relationship.
Further, Dharmendra also opened up about Karan's fiancee, Drisha. Talking about her, the actor revealed that he met Drisha at his house for the first time. He also heaped praise on her and said that she is a very sensible girl. Elaborating more about her, Dharmendra stated:
"Then, I met Drisha. The meeting happened at my house. She is a very sensible and pretty girl. And, she comes from an illustrious family. I am very happy for Karan and Drisha. They have all my blessings. I welcome the new addition to the Deol family."
On May 10, 2023, Karan and his fiancee, Drisha made their first public appearance together. The much-in-love were spotted together as they walked on the sideway in the city. Moreover, the newly-engaged couple looked picture-perfect as they twinned in black-hued ensembles. Karan looked handsome in a black-hued T-shirt with graphic prints and paired it with grey shorts. On the other hand, Drisha looked beautiful in a matching-hued T-shirt. She paired it with ripped blue jeans, classy sunglasses, a sling bag and sandals.

Earlier, a report in ETimes had reported that Karan would tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Drisha in June 2023. The report mentioned that a source close to the couple had revealed his wedding date. As per the reports, their wedding will take place between June 16 to 18. The source also revealed that the lovebirds got engaged on February 18, 2023, after dating each other for six years. The source was quoted as saying:
"Karan and Drisha's wedding ceremony will happen from June 16 to 18 in Mumbai. The two have been in a relationship for over six years. Earlier, this year, after celebrating Valentine's Day in Dubai, the couple got engaged on February 18. Karan, Drisha and their families are private about their lives and prefer to keep it that way."
