A lot of celebrities have tied the knot in the on-going wedding season, and there are still a lot more who are all set to do so. After Yuvraj Singh, it is cricketer Ishant Sharma who is ready to join the doubles’ club.
The 27-year old pacer got engaged to Pratima Singh on June 19, 2016, in his fiancée’s hometown, Varanasi. Just like Ishant, his fiancée Pratima is also a sportsperson. She is a member of Indian Women’s National Basketball team, and was a part of the squad that represented the nation in the Asian Games in Ghuangzhou, China in November 2010.

Ishant and Pratima will get married on December 9 in Varanasi, for which the cricketer has already been released from the Indian team which is currently playing a Test series against England.
Following his teammate, Yuvraj Singh’s footsteps, Ishant too invited PM Narendra Modi for his wedding. The cricketer visited the Prime Minister’s office along with his fiancée to invite him for the wedding and take his blessings.
Post his visit to the Prime Minister’s office, Ishant shared the following picture through his social media accounts:

As the D-day of this couple is almost here, the wedding preparations are going on in full swing. Pratima’s sister, Akanksha Singh, who is the captain of Indian women's basketball team, spoke to a leading newspaper over a telephonic chat and gave some inside details.
Talking about the wedding invites, she told the daily:
“The cards that are being sent to the seniors also have dry fruits sent as shagun. But for our younger friends and family members, doughnuts and chocolates are being sent as shagun along with the invites. I personally wanted to invite PM Modi for the wedding. I couldn't make it, so Pratima and Ishant went to give the card to PM Modi, and we hope he attends the wedding.”

She even opened up about a surprise that the ladkiwallas have planned for Ishant, which they will give to him on their sangeet night, which is
“I have arranged for a choreographer but Ishant doesn't have time to rehearse. So now, these lovebirds will just go on to the stage and do an impromptu jig on sangeet ceremony on December 8, which is being organised at a Delhi resort. But all my sisters, our closest friends and I have planned a surprise for Ishant that he will not forget. And I can just give a hint that it will be given to him when he's enjoying his dinner on sangeet.”
The celebrations have begun at the cricketer’s place too. Just two days back, he announced it with this picture that he posted on his Instagram account:
