'The First Khan' and 'The Tragedy King', late Mohammed Yusuf Khan, a.k.a, Dilip Kumar, had breathed his last on July 7, 2021, at Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital. At the age of 98, the actor had passed away due to prolonged illness. The heart-breaking news had saddened the entire Indian cinema, and soon his residence was packed with elite celebrities of the entertainment industry.
Iconic veteran actress, late Shashikala, who had worked in hundreds of Bollywood movies in supporting roles primarily between the 1950s and 1980s, had died at her residence at the age of 88. Shashikala had passed away due to old-age health-related problems on April 4, 2021. The veteran actress is best known for her roles in blockbuster films like Anupama, Ayi Milan Ki Bela, Gumrah, Waqt, Khubsoorat, and Phool Aur Patthar. In 2017, she was also honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri award for her tremendous contribution to Indian cinema.
The popular Indian actor, late Amit Mistry, had passed away on April 23, 2021, due to a severe heart attack at the age of 47. The actor's demise had shocked the entire entertainment industry, as he was all happy and healthy. Amit had worked in films like Deewana, Yamla Pagla Deewana, television shows like Tenali Rama, Maddam Sir, and in some critically-acclaimed web series. After his demise, his manager, Maharshi Desai, had talked about his sudden death in a conversation with ETimes and had said:
"I am in complete shock myself. He was all well and was at his home only. He didn't even complain of any health issue."

The famous actor, late Bikramjeet Kanwarpal, needs no introduction as he had worked in numerous iconic films since he had made his debut in 2003. Whether we talk about his acting skills or his humble nature, he was one of the finest supporting actors of his generation. However, sadly on May 1, 2021, Bikramjeet had passed away due to COVID-19 related health complications and had left a massive void behind him in the entertainment industry. The exceptional actor was last seen in the web series, Special Ops.
It was a massive shock to the Bedi and Kaushal family, their friends and fans, when the popular filmmaker, Raj Kaushal had taken his last breath on June 29, 2021. The entire entertainment industry had expressed their shock at his untimely demise. As per the reports, Raj Kaushal had died due to a severe cardiac arrest. Raj Kaushal was a famous director-producer who had worked in the film industry during the 1990s and mid-2000s.
For the unversed, Mandira Bedi had met Raj Kaushal, in 1996, and after dating for three years, they had tied the knot in February 1999. After 12 years of their happy married life, the couple had welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Vir Kaushal. After nine years of his birth, Mandira and Raj had adopted a baby girl, Tara Bedi Kaushal, in 2020.
The popular Indian actor, Sidharth Shukla had passed away on September 2, 2021, due to cardiac arrest, at the mere age of 40. The news had sent the entire social media into a frenzy. While Sidharth was everyone's favourite, he had shared a special bond with actress, Shehnaaz Gill and it was nothing less than a trauma for her. The actress is still struggling and pushing hard to live with this brutal reality that Sidharth is no more.

Veteran actor, Chandrasekhar G. Vaidya, who had portrayed the character of 'Arya Sumant' in the legendary television series, Ramayan, had died at the age of 98 on June 16, 2021. The actor was renowned for his incredible character acting in the '50s and '60s. Chandrasekhar had acted in many successful films like Surang, Mastana, Basant Bahaar, Kaali Topi Laal Rumaal, and many more. Iconic actor, Chandrasekhar was a man of many talents as he had also worked as an assistant director in films like Koshish, Aandhi, Mausam, and etc.
On October 15, 2021, Indian cinema had lost its supremely talented actress, Farrukh Jaffar. The actress had died at the age of 88 due to a brain stroke. The veteran actress had created a huge place in the hearts of young cinema lovers with her performance in Shoojit Sircar’s film, Gulabo Sitabo, in which she had played the character of Amitabh Bachchan’s wife.
The actress had also bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as ‘Fatima Begum’ in Gulabo Sitabo. She had become the oldest winner of an acting Filmfare award. Iconic actress, Surekha Sikri had passed away on July 16, 2021, due to a cardiac arrest, leaving a huge void in Hindi theatre, television, and Bollywood industry. She was the only actress in the history of Indian cinema to win three National Film Awards for Best Supporting Actress for her performances in films like Tamas, Mammo, and Badhaai Ho. The actress was also known and loved for portraying 'Kalyani Devi Dharamveer Singh/Dadisa' in the iconic show, Balika Vadhu.
For the unversed, veteran actor, Naseeruddin Shah is her former brother-in-law, as the actor had married Surekha Sikri's step-sister, Manara Sikri, also known as Parveen Murad. According to reports, Surekha Sikri had passed away at 75. The veteran actress was suffering from prolonged illness after she had suffered a major paralytic stroke in 2018 and a brain stroke in 2020.

One of the most famous singing duos of the 90s, Nadeem-Shravan, had suffered a major blow after Shravan Kumar Rathod had died due to COVID-19 related health problems on April 22, 2021, at the age of 66.
After his demise, in a conversation with the Bombay Times, Nadeem Saifi had opened up about the pain that he was in after learning about his best friend, Shravan’s death. He had said:
“I am in deep pain as I say this but my friend and my companion, my partner of so many years is no more. It has left such a vacuum. I spoke to his son who was inconsolable.”
The Indian film industry had suffered a massive shock as one of the finest actors in the history of the South Indian film industry, Puneeth Rajkumar, had passed away on October 29, 2021, at the age of 46. The actor had made his acting debut in the film industry with the film, Appu, and since then, there was no looking back for him.

Veteran actor, Anupam Shyam had died on August 8, 2021, at the age of 63, due to multiple organ failure. The devastating news had stunned the entire entertainment industry. The actor hailed from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and had learned the craft of acting from Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts, Lucknow, where he had studied from 1983 to 1985.
Anupam Shyam had mostly played villainous roles in his career, and many elite critics had labelled him as one of the most fearsome villains of the television world. The actor had garnered immense fame after playing the character, 'Thakur Sajjan Singh' in the popular show, Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya. However, Anupam Shyam had also worked in many big films in Bollywood. From working with mega-stars in movies like Shakti: The Power, Bandit Queen, Dil Se…, Wanted, and Halla Bol to acclaimed international film, Slumdog Millionaire, Anupam Shyam was a prominent name in the Indian film industry.
One of the most loved and funny characters, 'Nattu Kaka', of the popular television show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, whose role was essayed by the veteran actor, Ghanshyam Nayak had died on October 3, 2021, due to cancer. After a long battle with cancer, Ghanshyam Nayak had passed away on October 3, 2021. The veteran actor had breathed his last at 5:30 pm at the age of 77. The producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Asit Kumarr Modi, had shared the news of Ghanshyam's death on his Twitter handle. His tweet could be read as:
