Bollywood actor, Bobby Deol is currently in the seventh heaven, enjoying the massive success of his recently released film, Animal. The film, which was released on December 1, 2023, became the talk of the town and broke records at the box office. Bobby Deol, who experienced immense love from his fans after such a long time, was also seen getting emotional in public. Indeed, the actor has proved his versatility and acting mettle all over again.
Karan Johar's directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, also gained a lot of appreciation from the audience as well as critics. The film, featuring a stellar cast, including Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan, was praised for its unique storytelling of love. Among them all, Dharmendra's role was highly loved by movie buffs on social media, and his kiss with Shabana broke the internet. Now, his proud son, Bobby Deol, has opened up about his father's role in RARKPK.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Bobby Deol talked about how his father, Dharmendra's film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, broke records at the box office. However, the loving son revealed that he could not watch the blockbuster film, adding that he did not know the story when he watched it. Reflecting on how hard it was for him to see his father's character die in that film, the actor said:
"Wo role agar koi aur karta toh maza hi nahi ata. Papa made it magical. Actually, when I was watching the film, mereko kahaani nahi malum thi, my dad's character dies in it, couldn't see the film. I was at Karan Johar's trial and I couldn't stop crying because my father somehow, I just couldn't handle it and I left and won't see the ending of the film."
Speaking along the same lines, Bobby Deol further added that the Deols are a very connected family, and they love each other. He also mentioned that he was aware that his dad was portraying a role in the film, but he still couldn't contain his emotions. Bobby also revealed that even his mother, Prakash Kaur, couldn't handle the death scene in Animal. He said:
"Because that's how we are, we love each other. We are a very connected family. I know he is playing a part but still. When I did Animal, my mum couldn't handle the death scene."
Firstly, Sunny Deol's comeback film, Gadar 2, was a massive success, followed by his father, Dharmendra's film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, breaking all the records at the box office. And now, Bobby Deol's movie, Animal, has impressed the audience. In a recent interaction with IANS, Bobby expressed his gratitude for the same and revealed that he was amazed by the love the Deol family has received this year. He said:
“I feel that God has been really kind to me and my family. My brother's success, my dad, he got so much love and my film came out and it is amazing how much love the Deols are getting. It's just amazing.”
