One fine day, while stalking your favourite celebrities, you will spot them going on lunch and dinner dates together, and the very next day, you will wake up to the news about their separation! This is how we define the ‘way of living and relationships’ of certain Bollywood stars. The same happened with this long-term now ex-couple, Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia. It gave all of us a momentary shock when we heard of their separation and what looks like it, both are moving on happily, with ‘new innings’ in their lives. Arjun Rampal had just started to introduce his new ladylove, South African supermodel and actress, Gabriella Demetriades to all his fans when his April 23, 2019, post surprised all his fans and followers! ‘Arjun Rampal is all set to embrace fatherhood once again in his life', it meant! Sharing an adorable picture of himself and his girlfriend, Gabriella, the Rock On! actor wrote, “Blessed to have you and start all over again....thank you baby for this baby". Gabriella too, had posted the same picture and wrote, "Grateful for you two can’t wait to meet you." Take a look at the picture below:
As soon as Arjun Rampal shared the picture of his girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades' pregnancy, tonnes of congratulatory messages from fans and his friends from the industry started pouring in, which made us wonder if his estranged wife, Mehr Jesia and his two beautiful teenage daughters, Mahikaa and Myra knew about the same. As per a Mumbai Mirror report, Mehr has taken the news of her ex-hubby, Arjun embracing fatherhood again in a positive stride. The report stated, “The couple did their best to keep the pregnancy under wraps for the last six months. It turns out that several of their friends were kept in the dark too, including Mehr Jesia, Rampal’s wife of 20 years and mum to their two daughters, Mahikaa, 17, and Myra, 13.”
The report further stated, “Mehr has in fact taken the news rather sportingly. Her friends say that even though they haven’t filed for divorce yet, Mehr has come to terms with the fact that Rampal has moved on personally.” A friend close to Mehr has shared with the same tabloid, “They are still working out the financial terms of the separation. For the uninitiated, Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia got separated in 2018 and haven’t applied for divorce as of yet. The official statement announcing their divorce could be read as, “After a 20-year-long beautiful journey filled with love and beautiful memories, we would like to share, that all journeys have different paths. We feel that it is time for us to move on to different destinations henceforth.”
The report of Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia’s separation further stated, “We have always been solid when it has come to us, we will continue to be solid for each other and our loved ones, as we embark upon a new journey...Both of us being extremely private people feel strange to be making this statement, but such are the circumstances of our lives. Where the truth can get distorted and lost. We are a family, our love for each other is forever intact and we shall always be there for one another and most importantly, for our children Mahikaa and Myra. We would, therefore, appreciate our privacy through this time. Thank all for their support. Relationships can end, but love lives on. We won’t be commenting on this any further.”
We have time and again seen instances of how great parents Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia are. For instance, in July 2018, post their separation, Arjun and Mehr were holidaying with their two beautiful daughters, Mahikaa and Myra in Paris. Arjun himself had taken to Instagram and posted a snap of his ex-wife and two daughters and wrote a crisp caption which further added to the picture. The caption could be read as, “Parisian ladies” which was coupled with hashtags- ‘Paris’, ‘vacation’, ‘beautiful girls’ and a heart emoji.
