Two years later, in 2016, Arijit had penned a public apology letter to Salman, offering his clarifications. An excerpt from his note could be read as:
“Dear Mr Salman Khan, This is the last way I thought I would speak to you. I have been trying to text you call you and do everything possible to tell you that you are mistaken about the fact that I insulted you. I never did. That night in the show It was the wrong time and wrong aura. Nevertheless, you felt insulted."
In one of his earlier interactions with Pinkvilla, Arijit Singh was asked about the one thing that he, as a singer himself, feels is the greatest issue with musicians in Bollywood. To this, he mentioned that the aspect of getting a royalty for their own songs is something many singers still lack in Bollywood. He added that having royalty for their creation in a way makes their future secured.
