Losing someone can be heart-wrenching as the memories they leave behind haunt us forever. The pain of not being able to see them, hug them or hear them becomes unbearable, however, the only truth of life is death. Singer, composer, Anu Malik’s family has been hit by the biggest blow as his mother, Bilquis Malik passed away on July 25, 2021.
Bilquis Malik was the wife of late noted composer, Sardar Malik. The couple has three kids, Anu Malik, Daboo Malik, and Abu Malik, and six grandchildren, Amaal, Armaan, Aadar, Anmol, Ada and Kashish Malik. Her death has shattered the Malik family and her grandsons, Amaal Malik and Armaan Malik paid an emotional tribute to her.
Bilquis Malik passed away on July 25, 2021, at 3:30 pm. She was 86 and was admitted to the Arogya Nidhi Hospital in Juhu on Thursday, i.e., July 22, 2021, after she had suffered a stroke. She was buried at the Santa Cruz Kabrastan on Monday morning. Anu Malik’s brother, Abu Malik confirmed the news to Mid-Day and shared that she passed away peacefully.
The Malik family is in utter pain and it is a heartbreaking moment for them. Singer and music composer, Armaan Malik penned a heartfelt note for his grandmother on his IG handle. He shared a picture and two videos with his late grandmother, where, in one of the videos, he was taking care of his dadi in the hospital.
Sharing the post with her late grandmother, Armaan Malik wrote, “Lost my best friend today… my dadijaan. The light of my life. I still cannot process this loss. A void I know nobody can fill. You were the cutest, the most precious human being ever. I am so grateful that I got so much time with you and got all your love, hugs and kisses. Allah my angel is now with you.”
On the other hand, Amaal Malik shared a throwback video and pictures with his dadi on his IG handle and poured his heart out. He wrote, “It was the most difficult task of my life to bury you with my own hands today. I cried hopelessly for a last hug, but you had already gone. You wanted to be buried right next to your husband and I’m glad we could make that happen….”
Amaal continued how he knows his dadi has finally met his dada in the other dimension. He added, “As I left, it began to rain and I looked up to the skies & smiled knowing that you are right where you wanted to be, united with Dada in another dimension, just like this picture. There was never any one before , nor will there be any one after. Sundays with Dadi was the real deal with Aloo Parathas for breakfast and Pizza Parties for dinner…. You lived to love your children & grandchildren, you fought long and hard. Respect & Love. You will live within us till the end. The OG Malik has left us.”
May God give strength to the Malik family!
