Ankita Lokhande's father, Shashikant Lokhande, took his last breath on August 12, 2023. According to media reports, he was not keeping well for the past two months. While the reason for his daughter has not been revealed, the family is performing his last rites on August 13, 2023, at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai. Several heartwrenching visuals from the same have been making rounds on the internet, in which Ankita looked heartbroken.
Several paparazzi pages on Instagram recently shared glimpses of Ankita's father's last rites. In the videos, Ankita looks heartbroken as she cries inconsolably. Her mother, Vandana Phadnis Lokhande, kept her calm and was seen giving her support. We can also see Vicky Jain holding her hands and standing as a pillar of strength in her life's most difficult phase.

According to Hinduism, a daughter is not allowed to give kandha to her father's dead body. However, Ankita, who had always supported her parents like a son, was seen giving kandha to her late father's dead body.

A while ago, we spotted a video, wherein Ankita Lokhande's husband, Vicky Jain, was seen coming out of an ambulance, followed by the parthiv sharir of Shashikant Lokhande, which was taken to his home. We can also see Ankita Lokhande's Pavitra Rishta co-star, Mahesh Shetty, who gave support to the stretcher of Shashikant Lokhande.

Ankita Lokhande's father, Shashikant Lokhande, breathed his last at the age of 68. However, the cause of his death has not been revealed. According to media reports, Ankita's father, Shashikant Lokhande, has been unwell for the past two months.
In 2020, Ankita's father was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment at a hospital in Mumbai. The actress would share glimpses of him and pray for his speedy recovery. However, she penned a heartfelt note when he was discharged. She expressed gratitude that he was back from the hospital and added that she would take care of him as he cared for them all his life. Her note could be read as:
"Papa u r back from the hospital and nothing will ever make me happy more than you and your good health..I promise to take take care of you unconditionally and forever just the way you have been doing it for me and for us as family."
