Finally, the wait is over as Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, Gujarat, have begun. The Jamnagar airport has been decorated with a red carpet and pretty adornments to welcome guests from across the world. Ahead of the grand festivities, Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani hosted Anna Seva for over 51,000 people, and the bride and the groom were seen serving food to the people.
On February 28, 2024, we got exclusive glimpses of Radhika and Anant's Anna Seva. The event was hosted in Jogwad village near Reliance Township, Jamnagar (Gujarat). For the event, Radhika was decked up in a red-hued suit, and she radiated the new bride glow. She kept her look subtle yet striking with soft makeup and open tresses. On the other hand, her husband-to-be, Anant, twinned with her in a red-hued sherwani with a sleeveless jacket.

Radhika Merchant's family, including her parents, Viren Merchant and Shaila V Merchant, also participated in the Anna Seva. For those who don't know, the Ambani family is known for hosting Anna Seva ahead of their children's grand wedding. They had followed the same ritual for their daughter, Isha Ambani's wedding in 2018, and then for their son, Akash Ambani's wedding in 2019.
In an interview with India Today, Anant Ambani shared heaped praises on his lady love, Radhika Merchant. The animal lover, who is devoted towards making the world a better place for the four-legged beings, shared that he never wanted to get married as he wanted to devote his life in taking care of animals. However, he then met Radhika, who saw similar dreams as his. Talking about the same, Anant stated:
"I am lucky (to have her) for sure. She is the person of my dreams. Since childhood, I had thought that I would never get married because I was always devoted to taking care of animals. But when I met Radhika, I saw her sharing the same values as me. She has this sense of giving and nurturing towards animals."
Further in the same interview, Anant stated that his soon-to-be-wife, Radhika, stood with him like a strong pillar when he was battling his health issues. He added that while everyone gossiping about him and hinted at being made fun of for his weight, Anant never paid any attention as his family was with him, including Radhika. He was quoted as saying:
“Beyond that, Radhika has stood like a strong pillar of support during my difficult times, as I battled with health issues. Even my parents never made me feel like I was ill. Even when doctors gave up on certain things, they never did. Additionally, Radhika gave me strength. They always told me to not give up and keep fighting, especially for someone who has battled health issues since childhood. There are many people in more pain than me, hence I am grateful to God for everything. I have never paid attention to anything anyone says. It’s their job to gossip but for me, my family and their support is of the utmost importance."
In an unseen video from Anant and Radhika's engagement ceremony, we can see the latter making Anant wish on a lash. For those who don't know, when we were kids, we used to make a wish on a fallen eyelash, and it was the purest form of love and belief. Further in the clip, we could see Anant asking her to drop it off, but Radhika insisted on making a wish, and he cutely followed her.
