Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan painted Tinseltown red with their romance in the '90s. The couple was so much into each other that they decided to get married secretly. In fact, their families knew nothing about their hush-hush wedding, and it was through the media that Sharmila got to know about it. Once in an interview with a magazine, Sharmila revealed that Saif didn't even invite her to his wedding while she was in Mumbai. Now, we stumbled upon a snippet of Amrita's old interview, wherein she talked about her secret wedding.
Recently, we stumbled upon an old interview of Amrita Singh right after her wedding with a magazine. The gorgeousness, who secretly got married to Saif in 1991, revealed that if her daughter would have done the same, she would have slapped her. In an old article in a magazine, Amrita was quoted as saying:
"I would've slapped my daughter had she done what I did."

As soon as Saif and Amrita tied the knot secretly, the entire media was abuzz with their wedding news. After numerous attempt, a journalist reached Sharmila Tagore and Tiger Pataudi and asked about their son, Saif's secret wedding. To this, Sharmila confirmed that her son got married and revealed that she wasn't there at the wedding while she was in Bombay. She was quoted as saying:
"Yes, the two are married. But no - I was't there at the wedding although I was in Bombay at the time in connection with my flat."

It was in the early 2000s when rumours were rife that Amrita and Saif were going through major tiff in their relationship. And in 2004, they officially parted ways from each other. While Amrita kept mum on her personal life, Saif revealed how he was tired of the constant fights, getting yelled at and how his ex-wife had demanded Rs. 5 crores as alimony. However, with time the two matured and the talks about their failed marriage faded.
In an interaction with Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan talked about his equation with his kids, Sara and Ibrahim. Saif also shared that he could not imagine what would be the impact of his divorce on their kids. He also revealed how his daughter, Sara reacted to him after their separation. He was quoted as saying:
"I can’t imagine exactly the impact this will have on Sara and Ibrahim. I just pray and will make every effort possible. One thing that Sara did say to me. She said ‘you spend more quality time with me now than ever before’. I am not saying that that’s a great ‘everything is fine’ (situation) but that is a ray there, that’s something special."
