Amitabh Bachchan is one of the finest actors in Indian cinema, and there can be no second thoughts about it. The actor has covered a career over decades and has delivered innumerable hits at the box-office, which, even till today, have been hailed as classics. While his on-screen personality cheered loudest about being the ‘angry-young-man’, Big B happens to be completely the opposite in his personal life.
In the recent episode of the quiz-based show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, Amitabh interacted with a young contestant named Akash, who revealed his desire to perform skydiving. However, the young lad mentioned how his mother disapproves of such a decision. Hearing this, Amitabh quickly chipped in and revealed how he too, as a parent, never allowed his children, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan to go skydiving. Sharing the reason behind the same, he mentioned:
“I am also a father and when my kids Abhishek and Shweta came to me for the same, I didn’t allow them. It is so scary and risky. They tell me there is training and safety precautions. Parachute na khule toh? Jaan bhuj kar risk thodi na lena hai.”

According to an earlier report by the Economic Times, Amitabh Bachchan apparently gifted his first home in Mumbai, Prateeksha to his daughter, Shweta Bachchan. Amitabh and Jaya did the official transfer of papers on November 8, 2023, and paid a heavy stamp duty of Rs. 50.65 lakhs. According to several reports, the bungalow that is spread across an area of 16,840 square feet is worth Rs. 50.63 crores.
During an earlier episode of KBC 15, a contestant asked Amitabh Bachchan about his habit of posting tweets on social media till late at night. Moreover, the contestant even asked the actor whether he gets scolded by his family members for doing such a thing, especially from his wife, Jaya Bachchan and son, Abhishek Bachchan. To this, Big B said:
“I reply so late that they don’t get a chance to scold me.”

In yet another episode of KBC 15, Amitabh Bachchan made a witty statement about the cross-cultural influences in his family. He mentioned that he usually ends up becoming a sandwich between his family members. Calling his home an epitome of mini-India, he said:
“I can completely understand, even I become a sandwich at home with everyone. However, what I like the most is the fact that my family is so diverse. My daughter married someone in Punjab and my son in the south. We have people from all across the country, it’s like a mini-India and we love it.”
