Parineeti Chopra has been enjoying some of the best moments of her life currently, both on her personal and professional front. Other than her prosperous career as an actress, it was quite recently that the diva ventured into her singing forte and kickstarted her journey for live performances. Furthermore, she is also basking in the glory of her recent release, Amar Singh Chamkila, wherein she reprised the role of Punjabi folk singer, Amarjot Kaur, who was shot dead alongside her husband, Amar Singh Chamkila back in the 1980s. About her personal front, Parineeti is happily married to Raghav Chadha.
The team of Amar Singh Chamkila, Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra and filmmaker, Imtiaz Ali recently graced an episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Among other conversations, Parineeti talked about the challenges she faced to enact her part in the film. The actress, who frequents the headlines often due to rumours of her weight gain suggesting her pregnancy, finally revealed the real cause behind it. Parineeti remarked having to gain 15 kgs of weight, so that she could perfectly nail the role of Amarjot Kaur, who used to sing even when she was pregnant. Elaborating how she was fed parathas for the same, Parineeti said:
“Under Imtiaz's guidance, the amount of fun I have had shooting this film with all the food and parathas he has fed me, I don't think I will have so much fun doing any other film. here is no fun in looking like your own self in a biopic. I gained 15 kg immediately because I wanted to look like Amarjot. She performed at shows during her pregnancy, and I had to look the part."

Back on March 28, 2024, Parineeti Chopra dropped a sassy post on her IG stories, as she wittily dismissed all speculations about her pregnancy. Well, it all started when the diva graced an event wearing a breezy kaftan. Such comfortable choice of attire made everyone believe that the diva was expecting her first child with Raghav Chadha. However, later on, she dropped a note which read as:
“Kaftan dress=pregnancy, Oversized shirt=pregnancy, Comfy Indian kurta=pregnancy.”
Earlier, a report by BollywoodLife quoted an insider close to Parineeti Chopra and claimed that she wasn’t expecting her first child, and neither was she planning her pregnancy anytime soon. Citing the reason behind the same, the insider further divulged that the actress is focussing on her work and is busy shuttling between cities to strike a balance between all her work commitments.

Previously, at the ICC Young Leaders Forum, Parineeti Chopra talked about her first meeting with Raghav Chadha, which took place over one breakfast they shared in London. The actress mentioned that their conversations stretched over half an hour, all through which Parineeti became sure that Raghav was the kind of partner she desired in her life. Furthermore, the diva added that once she went back to her hotel, she was quick to Google about Raghav to find out if he was single. Recalling her expression, she remarked:
“Thankfully, he was single.”
