Alia Bhatt Reveals How She And Hubby, Ranbir Plan To Share Responsibilities After Their Baby's Birth

Bollywood's adorable couple, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are currently on cloud nine as they're expecting their first baby together. The duo tied the knot on April 14, 2022, and within three months of their marriage, they delighted their fans with the good news of Alia's pregnancy. Now, the couple is counting the days for the arrival of their litle one, and their excitement knows no bounds.

It was on June 27, 2022, when Alia Bhatt left the entire nation stunned as she announced her pregnancy. The actress had shared two pictures on her IG handle and sent everyone into a meltdown. The first picture was from the hospital, wherein Alia could be seen getting her sonography done while her hubby, Ranbir looked at the monitor's screen. The second picture showed a lion and lioness pampering their little cub. Alia had captioned the pictures as:

“Our baby ….. coming soon.”

During an interaction at the Forbes India Tycoon of Tomorrow event, Alia Bhatt opened up about why she named her kidswear apparel brand, Ed-A-Mamma and shared that she named it after her cat, Edward and herself as its mamma. She added that she associated the kidswear brand with 'mamma' as it's mostly the mothers, who do all the shopping for their kids. However, when she was asked if she and Ranbir Kapoor would also have a similar case when they welcome their baby, she said:

"That was a wrong thing for me to say. It's also kind of sexist because I think fathers shop as well. Even in my case, I have done a bit of shopping and so has my husband."

Further in the interview, when Alia was asked how she and Ranbir are planning to take care of their baby's responsibilities, the mommy-to-be shared that they wish to share the baby duties. However, adding that they would discover more throughout their journey once their baby arrives, the actress said:

"I think the journey of discovery will begin once the baby comes. But definitely, the intention is to share, that's most important."

Talking about Ranbir's excitement for the baby's arrival, Alia mentioned that he's very happy to share the responsibilities. She added that her doting hubby wants her to go to work as soon as she deliver the baby as he doesn't want her fans to complain. Reflecting on the same, the mommy-to-be said:

"And Ranbir is very happy, he has already been like 'baby you work from this month onwards, I will take time off so you can go to work. I can come back and then you can take time off then we just keep taking time off.' He is very happy to share that responsibility. And he in fact recently said in an interview that 'I think I have this very big responsibility on my head and that is to send Alia back to work because the fans would really complain and hold me responsible if I don't do my bit as a parent as well.'"

On the work front, Alia and Ranbir were last seen together in the film, Brahmastra.
