Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt couldn't be happier as she is currently basking in the glory of motherhood. It was on November 6, 2022, when she and her husband Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Raha Kapoor. Alia was on a work spree during her pregnancy, as she was busy promoting her films, including Darlings, Brahmastra and even completed the shooting of her first action film, Heart Of Stone, which marked her Hollywood debut.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married in April 2022, and within three months, the couple announced the news of her pregnancy. Now, in an interview with the Bombay Times, Alia Bhatt recalled working throughout her first pregnancy and revealed that she didn't want to limit herself. Sharing details about the same, she said:
“I don’t believe in limiting myself unless there’s some physical limitation. I was pregnant, so yes, there was scope for many limitations, as pregnancy is unpredictable. I decided to take each day as it comes and listen to my body. Of course, work is very important, but at that point, my baby and my health were my priority. From the very beginning, I told myself that only if I was comfortable, will I push myself. Touchwood, my pregnancy didn’t hold me back physically."

In the same interview, Alia shared that she kept her pregnancy hidden for the first 12 weeks because she was told to do so. However, the actress mentioned that she had major exhaustion and nausea in the initial days of her pregnancy, but she was listening to her body. Talking about how she fulfilled her work commitments while taking care of her body, Alia added:
"Yes, the first few weeks were slightly difficult as I had major exhaustion and nausea, but at that time, I didn’t talk about it because you are not supposed to say anything for the first 12 weeks, right? That’s what everybody says, so I had to keep that information to myself, but I was listening to my body. If I needed to lie down between a shot, I would go take a nap in my van. I would try to get as much rest as possible, but you also have to meet your work commitments."
Alia also shared that she had to push herself while taking care of herself and her baby while wrapping up her work commitments. Talking about the time when she was busy working day and night with her baby bump, Alia shared that she is proud of herself for shooting her first-ever action film during pregnancy. In her words:
"Heart of Stone is my first Hollywood movie, which I signed in January 2022. I tried hard to work out that schedule, so I didn’t want to back off. I talked to the team, and they assured me that they would take good care of me and it was great. I managed to shoot my first action film while I was pregnant! That is a story I will tell for years because it also makes you realise how much your body is capable of if you just put your mind to it.”

Further in the interview, when Alia was asked about her resolution for New Year 2023, she said that she takes each day as it comes. Calling 2022 the best year of her life, Alia mentioned that she is excited about her upcoming two releases including Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Ranveer Singh and her Hollywood debut, Heart Of Stone. However, the new mommy is super excited to see her daughter, Raha grow up and her facial expressions evolve, and she is also looking forward to celebrating her first birthday in 2023.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in the film, Brahmastra.
