In this case, it is obviously the living legend, Mr.Amitabh Bachchan, who is the head of the Bachchan family. Apart from being a splendid and a flawless actor, he also has tonnes of other qualities that set him apart from the rest. The most important of these qualities is the love he holds in his heart for his family.
Yes, Amitabh Bachchan is a true-blue family man. Be it respect for his late father or boundless love for his three grandchildren; this actor does have a soft spot where his family is concerned. Scroll on to read about the times when Amitabh Bachchan proved that he is a family man.
Mr.Bachchan is such a great actor, who is bound to be busy more often than not. But, in spite of his seemingly busy schedule, he can always be found attending movie premieres with his family. Be it Abhishek’s film or Aishwarya’s, he is always there along with Jaya Bachchan at their film premieres, to support the family and their endeavours. Isn’t that wonderful?
When Abhishek Bachchan started off his Jaipur Pink Panthers team, his father did not sit by the sidelines. He was there at nearly every match, egging on the team and supporting his son. This clearly shows that he does not exert any kind of pressure on his son to follow in his own footsteps.
He wants his children to be successful at whatever they may choose to do and he shows it by supporting them in person.
Having three grandchildren by now, Amitabh Bachchan is a protective and a loving grandfather. Only recently, when his granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda’s fake Twitter account was creating a ruckus on social media, protective granddad Amitabh Bachchan, came out to make a statement.
He warned everyone on social media by tweeting that his granddaughter was not on Twitter at all and that this was a fake account. This love and protectiveness were proved further when he recently wrote letters to his granddaughters Navya Naveli Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan that touched the hearts of people the world over.
Being a legendary superstar, it would not have been surprising in the least if this great actor had taken to sitting with his feet up on the table at home, letting his wife and other household help do all the work. But, Amitabh Bachchan is cut from a different kind of cloth. He shares responsibilities for the house equally, with his wife. Jaya Bachchan even revealed that it is Amitabh Bachchan who does the Diwali decorating in their household each year, leaving her free to relax if she wishes to. Isn’t that considerate?
Amitabh Bachchan holds deep respect in his heart for his parents. He keeps this alive by reciting his father Sri Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s poems. He recited a set of his father’s special poems at an event a few years ago. This only goes to show that even though he is renowned and celebrated as an actor, he is still grounded when it comes to emotions and his family.
Amitabh Bachchan believes in the policy of 'live and let live'. When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan sported the infamous purple lipstick at Cannes this year, social media was rife with memes and jokes. In an interview, when Amitabh Bachchan was asked what he thought about his daughter-in-law’s purple lipstick, he merely replied: “What is wrong with that?” Here’s a cool father-in-law for you!
This is exactly how Amitabh Bachchan has proven time and again, that before anything and anyone else, he holds his family close to his heart. Kudos to the living legend and a very happy 75th birthday!
