Indian cricketer, Yash Dayal, who is best-known for playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the India Premier League has officially tied the knot with social media influencer, Shweta Pundir. For those who do not know, Yash Dayal is a popular left-arm fast bowler, who was reportedly born in Allahabad. While Yash hasn't confirmed the wedding, the first photos from the same are making rounds on social media.
Recently, an X user shared the first photos from Yash and Shweta's intimate wedding. Well, the two secretly tied the knot in Noida on February 4, 2026, in front of their family members. Even though Yash is a promising cricketer, not a single cricketer was present at the wedding ceremony. It is also worth mentioning that as of March 2026, neither Yash nor Shweta has confirmed their wedding on social media.
Coming to their wedding attire, both Yash and Shweta looked gorgeous in a traditional North Indian wedding outfit. For those who missed the wedding photos, content creator, Shweta Pundir opted for a traditional red bridal lehenga with embroidery along the borders. She paired it with gold jewellery including a maang tikka. She also had mehendi on her hands. Despite this, what grabbed attention was the flower varmala around her neck. According to the photos that are going viral, the varmala was made with pink flowers and it also featured a few notes.
On the other hand, Indian cricketer, Yash Dayal complemented his wife with a red embroidered sherwani paired with a cream-hued waistcoat. He also had a yellow dupatta around his neck and a traditional cream coloured safa on his head. Apart from this, Yash also had a varmala similar to that of Shweta around his neck. Besides the outfits, the now-viral photos also give a glimpse of their wedding ring.
On March 13, 2026, Shweta Pundir took to her Instagram handle to share a cutesy video with her husband. Even though she didn’t confirm their wedding, the Reel grabbed a lot of attention. The video featured the couple lipsyncing the lyrics of the song, Tera Naam Liya.
Now that the Instagram Reel is going viral, multiple fans are showering love on the couple for their marriage. Regarding the same, one user commented, "Aapka RCB family me welcome hai bhabhi jii." Another user wrote, "Happy married life." A third fan penned, "Congratulations Yash bhaiya and bhabhi." A RCB fan commented, "Bhabhi ji, RCB se hu dhyan rakhna bhai ka."
The past few months have been very difficult for Yash Dayal, following sexual assault allegations from a woman. However, the cricketer stood by his principles and is now free from it. Coming to IPL, if you are wondering if Yash Dayal will play IPL 2026 or not, well, there is some good news. The pace bowler will be playing for the team, Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2026. For the unversed, IPL 2026 will begin on March 28, 2026.
Talking about Yash Dayal's cricket journey, he made his IPL debut in 2022. Initially, he was picked by Gujarat Titans and in 2024, RCB bought him for Rs. 5 crore. Ever since then, he has delivered an amazing performance in nearly every match. It is worth noting that when RCB won IPL 2025, he was a part of the team.
