Many fans had been eagerly waiting for this day, as the duo had already been dating for two years. It was Tyler who announced that they are engaged by posting sweet moments from the proposal on his Instagram. Amid the happy news, some have grown curious to learn more about Tate Madden.
According to reports, Tyler Cameron’s fiancee, Tate Madden, is from Jupiter, Florida. Tyler has moved back to the area during the COVID-19 pandemic and after his mother's death. In 2024, the model told ET, “That's what happens, you go home and find a girl.”
Despite living in the same place, Tyler and Tate actually met for the first time through work. They crossed paths in 2022 while filming his TV show, Going Home with Tyler Cameron, in Florida. At the time, Tate shot photography for multiple aspects of the show. Speaking about how their relationship started, the Bachelorette star stated:
“It started off, we were just working together. It was always platonic and cool, and she was always the life of the party and fun. Everyone gravitates toward her. She’s just a ball of fun energy, and everyone enjoys being around her.”
According to him, after he and Tate turned into friends, it did not take long for their connection to become romantic. He admitted, “It just kind of started happening. And we started hanging out more and dating.”
Many might not be aware, but it was the Trading Secrets podcast host Jason Tartick, who also appeared on Tyler's show as an investor in rental property, the one who encouraged his friend to go on a date with Tate Madden. Jason noticed that there was a spark between the pair when Tate was helping them as a photographer in a deleted scene from his show. Tyler said:
“Jason tried to set us up. In a deleted scene from Going Home with Tyler Cameron, Tate was helping us be a photographer for the images we were using for our Airbnb that we were building. And he was like, 'I see something here. You better go on a date. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.' And Jason was right, I gotta admit. Jason had an eye for it.”
Tyler also said that his first date with Tate took place at Raindancer Steakhouse in West Beach, Florida, where he rang in his girlfriend’s 30th birthday in September 2023. The reality TV star claimed that it was their first time trying to be romantic, something that he found “was kinda cool.”
However, it wasn't until the next year that Tyler confirmed they were dating. In September 2024, Tyler hard-launched their relationship by posting a video on Instagram where the couple could be seen dancing together. Referring to Tate, Tyler wrote in the caption how he found a cute girl to dance with who then tried to knock him out.
Tyler Cameron revealed that he is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Tate Madden, on August 15, 2026. A while ago, the reality TV star took to his Instagram to share the happy news while also giving a glimpse into the romantic beach proposal. For their special occasion, Tyler chose Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys.
Tyler posted two snaps, with the first one showing the moment he got down on one knee for Tate. He kept things casual, wearing a white shirt and matching white pants. Meanwhile, Tate wore a mini white dress with a floral design. In the second picture, the couple can be seen happily embracing each other. He wrote in the caption, “Better late than never, they say.”
