Amid that, it was reported that Vanessa might have seemed supportive of Tiger on the outside, but was internally frustrated by his actions and even considered splitting from him. She reportedly gave him one last chance to save their relationship.
Vanessa Trump has been battling cancer for months while also navigating the consequences of her boyfriend, Tiger Woods' rehabilitation and DUI controversy. Although she fulfilled her duty as a supportive partner by appearing alongside him at his DUI trial, she also reportedly gave him an ultimatum about their relationship.
A source close to the couple told the Daily Mail that Vanessa asked Tiger to make better life choices going forward, and failure to do so would be a "deal breaker." Vanessa reportedly felt "frustrated" and humiliated due to being associated with someone embroiled in multiple controversies. She allegedly told him that if she ever had to face similar situations because of his actions, she would walk out of the relationship.
According to the source, with their children now grown, Vanessa wanted to be free from the duties of being anyone's "caregiver" - even if that someone was her partner. The source was quoted as saying:
"Vanessa has given him an ultimatum. Get his s*** fixed if he wants to be with her. She has zero desire to be with anyone who is going to be a project. Kids are getting older, she's got more freedom. The last thing she needs is to be the caregiver for a partner."
The source claimed that Vanessa was particularly annoyed because of Tiger Woods' addiction. Recently, the 50-year-old golfer completed an inpatient rehabilitation program in Zurich, Switzerland and will undergo comprehensive treatment abroad next. His travel to Switzerland took place shortly after Vanessa's May 20, 2026 cancer diagnosis announcement. According to the insider, she was displeased with Tiger's absence when she needed him most.
Vanessa Trump needed her boyfriend "to be her rock" amid her breast cancer treatment, but he couldn't be there as he had his own issues to deal with. The source felt that Tiger failed as a partner in this regard. The source further stated that Tiger "should have gotten a driver years ago" to prevent things from spiralling to this point. So, "at this point she [Vanessa] wants him to face whatever consequences and pull it together," as per the source. In their words:
"You know I love him, but he just wasn't there as much as he could have been for her cancer. He was taking care of his s***, but she needed him to be her rock and he couldn't be. I can tell you that she was frustrated. Here she is going through cancer treatment, and he's in Switzerland in rehab. That was a fail on his part."
The insider further stated that Tiger having his driving license suspended for five years was the least of his concerns, as he was rich enough to afford a driver to take them anywhere. What the golf legend needed to worry most about was his girlfriend having told her friends that any further missteps on his part would mean the end of their relationship. As per the source, Tiger Woods was walking on eggshells around Vanessa Trump. They mentioned:
"She has told a [mutual friend] that she's committed, but another incident is a deal breaker. Thin ice. It's not that she doesn't love him - she does - but she's not going to be with an addict. She just won't. It's her line in the sand."
