On June 7, 2026, Aubrey Plaza attended the Tony Awards with her partner, Chris Abbott. For the unversed, Chris was nominated in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for his role as Biff Loman in the revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman. For the day, Aubrey opted for a black-toned column dress with white stripes, and it was from the brand Chanel. She kept her look minimal, with soft makeup and open hair.
On the other hand, Chris Abbott was seen complimenting her in a matching suit. The couple posed together for the paps, and she was seen cradling her baby bump, and it was all things adorable. It was in April 2026 when PEOPLE first shared the news about Aubrey's pregnancy, and following the same, the actress, while being on the Smartless podcast, spoke about the same. She mentioned that she's expecting, while adding that she always wanted to know what this is all about, and it seems extremely interesting. Aubrey's exact words were:

For those who don't know, Aubrey was married to Jeff Baena. The ex-couple met in 2011 and soon formed a strong connection. After 10 years, the couple got married in 2021, however, it was a short-lived marriage, as after three years, the actress filed for a divorce. The next year, in 2025, Jeff tragically passed away, and it took an emotional toll on her. Jeff was 47 years old when he passed away, and it was a suicide that claimed his life.
Aubrey Plaza and Chris Abbott's chemistry was enough to lead people to talk and start a speculation, which is nothing new in the entertainment world. Well, while the duo collaborated professionally, they never confirmed sharing anything romantic between them, and it was only in April 2026 that they confirmed their relationship, after reportedly making some public appearances throughout the earlier months of this year. This tragic incident had left Plaza in utter heartbreak, and she also had spoken about the grief that she was navigating during that time. After PEOPLE confirmed that Aubrey is pregnant, Aubrey and Chris' teams confirmed the same, claiming that the duo feels blessed, and it has been an emotional year for them.
