The two BFFs and fellow Victoria's Secret Angels are reportedly at odds after it was revealed that Candice might have been seeing Tom for months. Joan seemed to take several public swipes at her bestie over her eyebrow-raising social media activity. Her comment on a post about their drama read, "Two words: 'SUMMER HOUSE!' That'll explain everything."
For the unversed, it was a reference to the Bravo reality show Summer House's most recent season, which showed Amanda Batula and Ciara Miller's friendship falling apart after the former began secretly dating the latter's ex, West Wilson. In other screenshots obtained by DeuxMoi, Joan Smalls called Candice a "backstabber". She used the term when a fan asked her if they were no longer friends. To that, she allegedly responded, "im not friends with backstabbers."
In a separate, now-deleted message, Joan Smalls said there "was no girl code" on Candice Swanepoel's side. The context of the same hasn't been reported, but, it might be a hint at an unsaid pact among besties regarding not dating each other's exes. Joan further stated that she felt disrespected by the kind of treatment she received from a friend of 15 years. She claimed to have never gotten an apology from the acquaintance who wronged her and mentioned:
"And the disrespect and carelessness in how they treat you is so unimaginable. There's no going back. Some people lack humility and moral compass. And the way they gaslight, lie and minimize your feelings is the worst slap in the face after 15yrs or friendship. Not a sorry said or written. Onwards and upwards!!!"
Notably, Joan didn't explicitly name anyone, but her recent jabs at Candice and the betrayal text she penned made it seem directed at Tom Brady's alleged current girlfriend. Additionally, Candice and Joan were reportedly 'inseparable' for 15 years, which adds fuel to the speculation about a massive rift between them.
Tom Brady and Candice Swanepoel's alleged romance is currently the talk of the town. Both have faced major heartbreaks in previous relationships, with Tom going through a divorce and Candice calling off her engagement to Hermann Nicoli.
