Anne Hathaway reprises her role as 'Andrea “Andy” Sachs,' who used to be an assistant to 'Miranda Priestly,' played by Meryl Streep. 'Andy' is still working at Runway, which comes face-to-face with Dior, a company headed by another former assistant of 'Miranda,' 'Emily Chalton,' portrayed by Emily Blunt. Apart from this trio, the film also features Stanley Tucci, Justin Theroux, Kenneth Branagh, Tracie Thoms, and more. Keep reading to know what happens at the end of the film!

The situations that emerge in The Devil Wears Prada 2 are linked to only one thing: who will take over the top position in the Runway magazine. While 'Andy' is satisfied with everything that she has achieved so far, 'Miranda' and 'Emily' have their goals left to achieve. 'Miranda' wants to be the head of Runway magazine’s media division. While 'Miranda' does not want to be involved with 'Andy' in any manner, she has no other option since her collaboration with 'Andy' can only help her to get promoted.

On the other hand, 'Emily' wants 'Miranda' to leave Runway magazine and take over the entire company. 'Andy' even decides to bring in 'Emily' and her fiancé, 'Benji,' to purchase the company. Situations take a different turn at one point when the company chairman, 'Irv,' passes away. 'Irv’s' position will be taken over by his son, 'Jay.' But 'Jay' is expected to bring more problems while aiming to ensure more profits for the magazine.

The initial situations in The Devil Wears Prada 2 are expected to make anyone believe that 'Miranda' and 'Emily' are the antagonists. But the reality is different compared to everyone’s beliefs. 'Irv’s' son, 'Jay,' and 'Emily’s' fiancé, 'Benji,' get involved with Runway magazine. However, 'Jay' and 'Benji' hardly care about anything that is going on in the company. 'Jay' pays no attention to the magazine’s value and considers it as some form of investment.

'Benji' has similar interests in the company as his fiancée, 'Emily.' He even tells 'Miranda' that everyone needs to ignore the events that have happened and start creating spaces for new things. The intentions of 'Benji' and 'Jay' undoubtedly reveal that they are the main villains here. Furthermore, the duo’s actions also explore one of the themes that connect with real life, as most of the magazines work for someone’s personal benefits in today’s time.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 brings an unexpected situation for 'Andy' and everyone else she is working with. The entire group has been fired by their parent company, following which 'Andy' joins Runway. 'Andy' has a fear that the employees of Runway might face the same thing. She also believes that, at the same time, journalism is considered to be necessary in certain places, irrespective of what everyone else has to say about it. 'Andy’s' thoughts seemingly help to resolve the issues between her and 'Miranda.' Although 'Miranda' has not fully approved of 'Andy’s' work, she reacts to the changes suggested by 'Andy' for Runway magazine so that it can stay ahead of others.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 ending changes a lot of things for the lead characters

The events that happen at the end of The Devil Wears Prada 2 are completely unpredictable and unexpected. The biggest thing that happens here is that 'Miranda' takes over the position she used to have at Runway magazine. This does not mean that 'Andy' is not working with the company anymore. 'Andy' has now found a new intent to be with the company, and she is still in love with 'Peter.' Notably, 'Miranda’s' achievement in the end should be credited to 'Sasha.'

'Benji' leaves 'Emily,' who eventually forms a close friendship with 'Andy.' 'Nigel' also gets an opportunity to work on a big fashion show. 'Benji' and 'Jay' don’t get the expected ending by facing the consequences of their actions. However, the duo continues to enjoy their life with a lot of wealth and adapts to the changes that happen.
