Mackenzie Shirilla recently got a job in prison, despite thinking that the authorities may not give her permission.
Mackenzie Shirilla has been hogging the limelight ever since the Netflix documentary named The Crash got released. For the unversed, Mackenzie is currently spending her time in jail, for allegedly taking the life of her boyfriend, Dominic Russo and their common friend. After the release of The Crash, multiple statements by her parents and fans theories are going viral. However, a while ago, a report by TMZ confirmed that Mackenzie has finally got a job, despite being in prison.
Recently, a report by TMZ revealed that Mackenzie Shirilla, who is serving her time in jail due to the death of her boyfriend and common friend, has finally got a job. The report stated that she has started working as a food service worker at the Ohio Reformatory for Women. It is worth mentioning that even though her salary has not been revealed, prisoners can earn a maximum of USD 24 per month.
Recently, Mackenzie Shirilla got on a call with her mother, during which she told her about the new job and how she was completely bored and frustrated before it inside the prison. It is worth mentioning that during the call, Mackenzie told her mother that she had one book, but was tired of reading it again-and-again. Talking about her job, she also stated that she did not expect the authorities to allow her to work due to her criminal charges; however, she is satisfied that she won’t be getting bored now.
A few weeks ago, TMZ got their hands on an audio clip, in which Mackenzie can be heard talking to her mother. During the conversation, Mackenzie revealed her plans of becoming a life coach after she is granted bail. For context, as per the audio clip, Mackenzie’s mother can be heard telling her daughter that she has been through a lot at such a young age and she can use those experiences to help other people. It was after this that Mackenzie got the idea of being a life coach. However, it is worth noting that Mackenzie is currently serving two concurrent sentences of 15 years to life, with no guarantee of when she would be free.
A few days ago, a former inmate named Kat Crowder, who served her time in the jail with Mackenzie Shirilla opened up about how the latter behaved behind the bars. She stated that even though Mackenzie has been shown dealing with remorse and guilt in the documentary, her behaviour and attitude in prison was completely different. As per Kat, Mackenzie roamed around with hickeys on her neck. She alleged that Mackenzie had relationships with multiple women inside the jail. Talking about the treatment Mackenzie got in jail, Kat claimed that she was always taken care of and also used to get her makeup done.
Mackenzie Shirilla is currently one of the most talked-about names, who is involved in a car crash case that happened in 2022. In July 2022, Mackenzie was driving her car, with her boyfriend and their common friend, Davion Flanagan. As per the prosecutors, Mackenzie purposefully increased the speed of the car, leading to the death of her boyfriend and friend. Mackenzie survived with major injuries. Later, in 2023, she was found guilty and sent to jail.
Ever since the documentary, The Crash has been released, multiple theories have made rounds on social media. Since the past few days, Mackenzie's team has been sharing old text messages and videos, which suggest that Mackenzie is innocent and did not want to harm anyone. Most recently, her team shared a video of her in a wheelchair, visiting Dominic's grave.
