Veteran actress, Tanuja revealed an interesting titbit about her son-in-law, Ajay Devgn and daughter, Kajol on actress, Raveena Tandon's show, 'It's My Life'. Details inside!
Veteran actress, Tanuja is one of the leading ladies of the late '60s and '70s and is the sister of iconic actress, late Nutan. The actress is the daughter of another famous actress from the early days of talkie cinemas named Shobhna Samarth. With films like Memdidi, Chand Aur Suraj, Mera Jeevan Saathi, and others, Tanuja engraved her status as one of the most versatile actresses of all time.

Talking about Tanuja's personal life, the actress got married to iconic filmmaker, Shomu Mukherjee in 1973. The madly in love couple was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Kajol and Tanisha. However, sadly on April 10, 2008, Tanuja's husband and director, Shomu had passed away from a severe heart attack in Mumbai.
Recently, we stumbled upon an interview of Tanuja with actress, Raveena Tandon on her talk show, It's My Life from the year 2012, wherein, she shared an exciting and memorable incident from her memory lane that includes her daughter, Kajol and her son-in-law, Ajay Devgn. The doting mother recalled the time when Kajol had opened up about her feelings for Ajay for the first time. She said, "She (Kajol) comes to me, and said 'Mom I'm in love. You should see his eyes mom." Tanuja added that her daughter had admitted that she is in love with Ajay.
Going further in her revelation, Tanuja comes to the main point and revealed how her son-in-law, Ajay Devgn, used to call her daughter, Kajol on their landline during those days. However, the thing that had made Tanuja sad was the fact that Ajay had never called her 'mom' even after his marriage with Kajol. Which is the reason why she didn't allow her son-in-law, Ajay to talk to her daughter, Kajol. Recalling the same, Tanuja added that she had given an ultimatum to Ajay that he would have to call her either 'Mom' or 'Tanuja ji'.
Concluding her statement, a satisfied Tanuja had revealed that Ajay Devgn had started addressing her with 'mom' after her ultimatum, and it had delighted the doting mother-in-law. In her conversation, Tanuja also talked about the striking similarities between Ajay Devgn and his father, late Veeru Devgan and heaped a sweet compliment on the father-son duo. She said, "I knew Ajay is Veeru ji's son. Veeru ji was so handsome and charismatic, and here is Ajay, equally or more good looking, and as charismatic (as his father) if not more."

Kajol and Ajay Devgn had begun dating each other while shooting for the film, Gundaraj in 1994. The beautiful couple had gotten married on February 24, 1999, in a true Maharashtrian style. The couple had never resorted to the usual 'I love you' and there was no dreamy proposal either.
The decision to get married was quite mature, and both had grown with each other. Ajay had wanted the wedding to be a private affair, and do you know, he had not even hired professional photographers for the wedding. The doting couple is blessed with two beautiful kids, Nysa and Yug.
