Tanishaa Mukerji talked about essaying the role of a mother on-screen for her upcoming project and revealed her dreams about becoming one in real life as well.
Tanishaa Mukerji is one of the most notable faces in the film and television industry. She has been a part of several films and television shows, and has proved her mettle exceptionally. For the unversed, she is the sister of Bollywood actress, Kajol and the younger daughter of veteran diva, Tanuja. Despite her hard work and passion, Tanishaa has somewhat been an inequal recipient of fame and stardom like her sister, and thus she has not made a mark in the hearts of audience with her performances.
In a recent interaction with ETimes, Tanishaa Mukerji opened up about essaying the role of a mother on-screen for the first time, in her upcoming film, Love You Shankar, co-starring Shreyas Talpade. The diva revealed that she loves children and always wanted to enjoy the bliss of motherhood in her real life, but it hasn’t happened with her yet. Tanishaa further revealed that she is still pursuing her dream of becoming a mother, only after she is able to find the man of her dreams and get married. In her words:
“I love the feeling of being a mom. I love children. I did want that experience in my life. But unfortunately, I’ve not had it. So I took the advantage of being a mother on screen. It was just a lovely experience. And I really want to have that experience of being a mom. Firstly, I will have to find the boy. Then I will have to marry the boy. Then I will have to have the baby. It takes time. I’ve not even found the boy yet.”

In an earlier interview with Sidharth Kannan, Tanishaa Mukerji remarked how her brother-in-law, Ajay Devgn had once stepped in and tried to save her down-falling career. She reminisced being out of work for about a good 3-4 years when Ajay Devgn helped her out by assigning her a manager. In her words:
“Ajay came in later. He realised, ye kya ho raha hai and then he was like, wait a minute baby, let me come in. He came after my launch and after I was out of work for about 2-3 years. It all went downhill. Then Ajay got me a secretary. At that time, there were secretaries. KS Sanjay was fixed as my secretary by Ajay. He is a lovely human being and really takes care of the family.”
In the same interaction, Tanishaa spoke about her previous relationship with Uday Chopra. The duo worked together in the film, Neal n Nikki and their on-screen chemistry was loved by all. Talking more about the same, the diva stated that the two of them broke up because they felt that something missing in their relationship. Adding how they are still friends, she said:
“Uday aur mai Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge ke time pe mile the. And vo 10-15 saal pehle the. Aur uske cause me hum dost ban gye the, and we were always friends. And I think aise hi film ke dauraan hum nazdeek ho gaye. And then, we fell in love. It was just a natural progression for us. Kyun hota hai breakup? You realise that something is not working. It's very natural and I think log bahut badi cheezein banate hai uske baare me. We realised it was not working, and we are still friends.”

Back in one of the episodes of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 11, wherein Tanishaa impressed everyone with her dancing stint, she went onto make a remark about her unsuccessful film career. Well, after she was hailed by Farah Khan as a ‘star’ post her dance, Tanishaa rubbished such a tag and remarked that she has truly been unable to become a successful star like her sister, Kajol. She added that all members of her family are stars and not her.
