Famous television actress Surbhi Chandna made a special place in the hearts of fans with her role as 'Anika' in Ishqzaaade. She is enjoying the best phase of her life as she recently got married to her longtime beau, Karan Sharma in Jaipur. Her wedding festivities made headlines, and her bridal look was fresh and out of the box. Surbhi shared glimpses of her happy days with her fans, and now, she posted a video of her Chooda Vadhana rasam.
On May 10, 2024, Surbhi took to her Instagram handle and posted glimpses of her Chooda Vadhana rasam. In the clip, Surbhi can be seen getting emotional as it was time for her Chooda Vadhana. For those who don't know, in Punjabi a bride's mama (maternal uncle) gives her chooda, and after 1.5 years, a bride's in-laws replace it with bangles. In the clip, Surbhi was wearing a blue-hued suit and looked emotional while bidding goodbye to her chooda. Along with the post, Surbhi wrote:
"My Chuda Vadhana Rasam This Chuda became such a significant part of my life and it had its own Fan Base and it was finally time to bid adieu to my piece of heart on this beautiful occasion of Akshaya Tritiya to only preserve & Cherish it forever. Miss you Already."

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Surbhi Chandna revealed that she didn't wanted a typical red chooda. She added that people were shocked that how her mother allowed her to pick an ivory-coloured chooda. Surbhi revealed that it wasn't even ivory colour, it is a light pink chooda. She was quoted as saying:
"I wanted chooda also, not the red typical chooda. Logon ko na yeh bhi laga ki mummy ne allow kaise kiya because its ivory colour. Its not ivory guys, it is a very light pink, it’s a baby pink colour, nobody wears it. There’s other darker pink that people wear. Bolte hai na mama select karte hai, maine kaha mama ko bolna aap paise bas de dena, select main kardungi. Jab meri pre-wedding hui thi, I picked up this."
Surbhi Chandna donned a unique coloured lehenga on her wedding day. She ditched the red lehenga and opted for a turquoise-coloured lehenga, which featured baby pink-toned threadwork with embellishments. Her outfit featured a corset blouse with heavy work and pearl detailing. Her look was accentuated with a choker, matching maang teeka and white-hued chooda.
For the uninitiated, Surbhi and Karan have been dating for the past 13 years, and they first met in Mumbai in 2010. Since then, Karan has acted as a pillar of strength for the actress and seen her struggle as well as her successful days. They have decided to take their relationship to the next level by tying the knot in 2024.
