Dharmendra's last film 'Ikkis' is all set to hit the theatres in a few days. Amid that, Sunny Deol was seen getting emotional at the screening of the film.
Even weeks after the news of Dharmendra's passing, fans and family members are still struggling to come to terms with the loss. For the unversed, the veteran actor left for the heavenly abode on November 24, 2025. The industry is feeling his void. Well, now a clip of Sunny Deol is going viral, in which the actor is seen getting emotional at the screening of Dharmendra's last film, Ikkis.
On December 29, 2025, Sunny and Bobby Deol hosted a private screening for their father, Dharmendra's last film, Ikkis, which is scheduled to release on January 1, 2026. The screening was attended by who's who of the industry. However, as Sunny arrived at the venue, the environment soon turned emotional as he came forward to pose for the paparazzi. While posing with his late father’s poster, Sunny had said:
“Papa ke saath khada hota hu main.”
According to the clip that is going viral on social media, Sunny Deol was seen heading straight to a poster, which featured Dharmendra's character and posed with his late father. In the now-viral clip, the actor appeared visibly emotional, but he held back his tears. Sunny folded his hands and greeted the paparazzi. For the screening, Sunny opted for an olive green outfit with white shirt.

Apart from Sunny Deol, the special screening was attended by Dharmendra’s second son, Bobby Deol. Bobby, his wife, Tanya and their son, Aryaman were present for the screening. Actor, Abhay Deol has also joined them. Apart from them, the screening of Ikkis was also attended by celebrities like Johny Lever, Tiger Shroff, Ameesha Patel, Jeetendra, Arjun Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Simar Bhatia and more. Everyone had come together to honour the legacy of Dharmendra in his last film.

Moments after the clip went viral on social media, a few users shared their thoughts on the same. While some missed Dharmendra, others got emotional seeing Sunny’s heartwarming gesture. Ikkis is a war drama biopic, directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films and it stars Agastya Nanda, Simar Bhatia and the veteran actor, Dharmendra. The supporting cast includes Jaideep Ahlawat, Sikandar Kher, Ekavali Khanna, Aadyanshi Kapoor, Shree Bishnoi and Akashh Alonia. The film is based on the true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. The film will hit the theatres on January 1, 2026.
Legendary actor, Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. His death truly marked the end of an era. He was admitted in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital and reportedly was even on a ventilator. However, he was discharged a few days before his death. After his death, his wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini organised two separate prayer meetings to celebrate the actor and his legacy.
