Sonam Kapoor And Anand Ahuja's Reception Kick-Starts, B-Town Celebs Pour In (LIVE)

The most awaited event of 2018, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding happened today! On May 08, 2018, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja were pronounced husband and wife after a traditional Sikh wedding following the ritual of Anand Karaj. Obviously, the pre-wedding functions went on in full swing before the wedding, rockingly beginning on the night of May 06, 2018. Sonam Kapoor, being the fashionista that she is, rocked her bridal look. In her wedding, Sonam Kapoor looked breathtakingly elegant in a Anuradha Vakil’s red wedding lehenga with intricate embroidery of lotus designs. Her minimal make-up was done by Namrata Soni and kudos to the perfection. Also, her multi-layered maang teeka is already making girls want to marry right now. On the other hand, groom Anand Ahuja complemented his now-wifey by looking dapper in a beige and cream-coloured sherwani with a pagdi, and an exquisite haar in the neck. And now, post the wedding, it's time for the rocking reception party. Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's reception party is being held at The Leela, a five-star hotel in Andheri, Mumbai. For her reception she opted for a grey and white coloured lehenga with a full sleeved blouse. And Anand opted for a black bandhgala white white churidaar.

As per the e-invitation cards sent earlier to the guets, the dress code for tonight is 'Indian or Western Formal'. B-towns celebs have been gearing up for the big night for long, and the moment has arrived now. Celebrities who have arrived include Karan Johar with his mom, Hiroo Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Jackey Shroff, Juhi Chawla, Kangana Ranaut, Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Javed Akhtar, and many others. And then a leading daily reported that rehearsals have been going on at the Kapoor residence in Bandra, and since then Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja have been the headlines every where. It was confirmed, “Rehearsals have kicked off at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu bungalow. The doting dad and mom Sunita will be putting together a special act for the bride-to-be at the sangeet. Sonam’s cousins and extended family have joined in as well for the pre-wedding ceremony. They will perform on her hit songs like the Veere… title track, “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai” from the Fawad Khan co-starrer Khoobsurat, the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo title track, and “Dheere Dheere” from her music video with Hrithik Roshan, among others, besides other popular wedding songs”.
