For the uninitiated, 20-year-old Siya Goyal allegedly pushed her fiance, Ketan Agarwal, off the Lohagad Fort into a deep gorge 400 feet below. Siya was helped by her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary. Within a timeline of six months, from January 2026 to June 2026, Siya and Chetan allegedly had 2,004 calls. As the probe into Ketan Agarwal’s murder intensifies, Siya’s father is reportedly hospitalised after suffering a heart attack.
According to reports, on June 23, 2026, Siya Goyal’s father, Praveen Goyal, got admitted to a hospital in Pune after suffering a heart attack. He is currently undergoing treatment in a Pune Hospital. Reports stated that Siya’s mom and brother are staying at the hospital. The Goyal family residence, 'Leela Kunj' in Market Yard, Pune, remains locked. From the hospital bed, Praveen demanded justice for Ketan Agarwal.
While speaking to reporters, Ketan Agarwal’s father revealed that he knew Siya Goyal’s family for 35 years. He then raised questions on Siya’s upbringing. He mentioned that it was Siya’s uncle and aunt who forced her into the marriage even after knowing about her alleged love affair with Chetan. He was quoted as saying:
"We have known the girl's family for 35 years. How could they do this to us? Siya's uncle and aunt pushed for the match despite knowing about her affair. If she didn't want to get married, she could have simply refused. We would have cancelled the wedding immediately. Why did they take such a drastic step? What kind of mindset is this? Their mindset is so cruel that someone's 26-year-old son could be killed. Society needs to take note of such a cruel mindset. Where does this ideology come from - their family, their upbringing?"
The Lohagad murder case is taking new turns with each passing day. According to the latest reports, both the accused, 20-year-old Siya and 22-year-old Chetan, blamed each other for the crime. Amid this, Chetan’s dad, Babulal, who reportedly runs a dry fruit business, came forward to defend his son. He also allegedly claimed that Siya is framing his son to save herself.
Investigators opened up about the conflicting versions of the series of events from Siya and Chetan. The 22-year-old Chetan allegedly said that he wanted to have a new life with Siya by eloping, but she insisted on killing 26-year-old Pune businessman, Ketan. On the other hand, Siya alleged that it was Chetan who plotted the murder of Ketan and even cried after a failed attempt to kill him.
In an unseen engagement video, Siya and Ketan looked head over heels in love with each other. In fact, Siya’s love-filled messages for her fiance, Ketan, didn’t spark any doubts that she was not interested in marrying him. However, the evidence stated otherwise. According to reports, CCTV footage showed Siya and her alleged lover, Chetan, meeting at a cafe hours before allegedly pushing Ketan off the cliff.
Investigators suspect that the duo met at a cafe to discuss about how to carry out the heinous crime. There has been one more thing that stated Siya had little interest in Ketan. Siya and Ketan had plans to go for a trip to Bali for a pre-wedding shoot. Initially, it was known that Ketan’s passport went missing at Mumbai airport, but later investigators revealed that Siya intentionally hid it to avoid going to Bali with him.
