Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki actor, Sharad Malhotra has shared that the fact that he is getting married in just 3 days hasn't sunk in yet. Sharad Malhotra will get married to Ripci Bhatia on April 20, 2019.
On April 20, 2019, i.e., three days from now, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki actor, Sharad Malhotra will become Mister as he will tie the nuptial knot with a fashion designer named, Ripci Bhatia. However, by his own admission, he is both commitment and marriage phobic. His past is a proof enough that certainty is not his forte. Earlier, he was in a serious relationship with Divyanka Tripathi, and then later he dated Splitsvilla fame, Pooja Bisht. Both these relationships ended on a bitter note. And now, Sharad Malhotra is all set to get married to Ripci Bhatia. It was only last month, March 2019, when Ripci had shared the following picture of the two showing off her engagement ring. She had captioned the pic as, "Each day.. All day.. In love.. now and forever," along with the hashtags- #isaidyes, #happyvalentinesday, #themostbeautifulone, #memories, #anighttoremember.
Sharad Malhotra confessed to the Hindustan Times that the fact that he is getting married in just a few days hasn't sunk in yet. He was quoted as saying, "I feel that the good things in life happen suddenly. There is a lot of excitement, nervousness and happiness as the wedding date comes closer. There is a lot happening workwise and added to all that are the wedding preparations. So, it hasn’t sunk in yet that I am getting married (laughs). Everyone has been waiting for my marriage, including me."
The Banoo Main Teri Dulhann actor also shared that he is getting pre-wedding jitters and is waiting for that experience of the D-day. Sharad shared, "I’ve been married many times on screen, so I am waiting to see how I feel in real life when I put sindoor in Ripci’s maang. I know most of the ceremonies by heart — haldi, mehendi, pheras, etc. But I am waiting to experience the moment when it actually happens. I wonder what I will feel during the saat pheras, or when she wears the mangalsutra."
On being asked as to when he knew that Ripci is the one for him and he wants to marry her, Sharad shared that when he had asked her to marry him he had taken a chance. Sharad retorted, "I don’t think there was one particular moment when I decided that I wanted to marry her. We were out on a drive and I thought I would take a chance. I asked her about marrying me and in case, she refused, I would just laugh it off. But she agreed. Later, we informed our families and they agreed too. So now here we are. Sharad lastly shared that the idea of marriage has always given him cold feet and that he is marriage phobic. He told the Hindustan Times, "I have always been marriage-phobic and the world knows about it. I love commitment but the idea of marriage gave me cold feet. And now that I am getting married, everyone is shocked...I have seen a couple of bad marriages but most of the bad thoughts are in your head. I am going forward in this marriage with a positive vibe."
Earlier, taking to BollywoodLife, Sharad had shared that his friends are teasing him that he will be a runaway groom, "No one expected that I would marry so soon. They thought I would give it a year but then when you meet a person and strike that connect, you know it is right. I always believed that marriage will happen when it has to happen. I feel it's right to marry now. But my friends are teasing me about being a runaway groom."
Sharing more details about his planning for the D-day, Sharad was quoted as saying, "Yes, there is happiness, a bit of nervousness and excitement. I have planned a few things to surprise Ripci. I hope I can pull them off nicely. I cannot reveal as it's a surprise. Thankfully, I have a great team looking into the preparations. I do not have to stress much. Pawan Kumar, the producer of my current show and I have been friends since years. He is looking into the details. I am so happy that a friend is doing this for me."
