Daddy Shakti Kapoor Spills Beans On Daughter Shraddha Kapoor's Marriage

Making her debut with the 2010 film Teen Patti, and reaching an unmatched stardom in 2012 with Aashiqui 2, Shraddha Kapoor has come a long way in Bollywood. The pretty damsel is single as of now, however, she has been allegedly linked up with many heart-throbs of the Hindi film industry. Aditya Roy Kapur and Farhan Akhtar being the most notable ones. Speaking of her singlehood, millions of her fans are waiting for Shraddha Kapoor’s marriage. Her father and Bollywood’s yesteryear star, Shakti Kapoor, in a recent media interaction spilt his thoughts on Sharddha’s marriage. He said that her little princess could marry any man of her choice.

Speaking at the poster launch of his upcoming film, The Journey of Karma, Shakti Kapoor was quoted as saying, “Every father wants that his daughter will get married in a good and respected family. I wish that she grows in her personal and professional life, but I think as a parent, you have to give some kind of liberty to your children because now that period is gone when parents used to marry their children (to a person) of their choice.” (Also Read: Shraddha Unfollows Farhan On Instagram And Here Is What She Said About Their Relationship)

He further added, “Now, we have to ask them about their choices in terms of everything, including their life partners. She is right now very busy in her career, but whenever she will tell us about her marriage plans, she will marry a man of her own choice and we don't have any objection with that.”

Last year, rumour mills were abuzz with the alleged relationship of Shraddha Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar. The reports also suggested that the two had started living together and that one day, Shakti Kapoor dragged Sharddha out of Farhan’s house. He had said, “That’s total crap! It’s all shit. Somebody else also called me to inform me about this, but don’t believe it. It’s total, total, TOTAL crap. The level of fiction can go to incredible heights. I choose to ignore them and just focus on my work.”

Shraddha had commented, “I got a message from someone telling me about this article, and initially, I was amused. While it doesn’t make a difference to me because I know it’s not true, it’s sad that these false stories go so far that people forget we are human, too. Of course, we are actors and there will be people who would probably want to read something gossipy about us, but when it involves my father, my aunt and my co-star, it’s taking it too far.”

On the professional front, Shraddha Kapoor will next be seen in Saina Nehwal’s biopic. On this, her father commented, “In today's time, every actor is taking challenges in his career. If you see actors right from Ranbir Kapoor (Sanju) and Farhan Akhtar (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag), all are doing really good in biopics in which they have worked. Every actor is working hard in the film industry.”

Well, it’s delightful to hear that Shakti Kapoor is not a typical patriarch father and that he believes in the liberty of his children. We can’t wait for Shraddha Kapoor’s marriage, as and when it happens.
