A while ago, Raqesh Bapat's family slammed 'Bigg Boss Marathi 6' contestant, Vishal Kotian for bringing up the former's divorce with Ridhi Dogra during an intense argument.
The reality show, Bigg Boss Marathi 6, which is best-known for its intense fights and dramatic moments, has once again found itself in the middle of a major controversy. In one of the latest episodes, contestants, Raqesh Bapat and Vishal Kotian got involved in a heated argument, during which the latter passed a comment on Raqesh's divorce. For the unversed, Raqesh was once married to Ridhi Dogra, who was recently seen in The 50.
In one of the latest episodes of Bigg Boss Marathi 6, Raqesh Bapat and Vishal Kotian got into a heated argument after the former nominated the latter. Eventually, Vishal passed some harsh statements on Raqesh's divorce with Ridhi, leading to an intense verbal and physical argument. Allegedly, Vishal pushed Raqesh during the fight, sparking a major controversy.
A while ago, Raqesh Bapat’s family took to the actor’s Instagram handle to share an official statement after the heated argument between Raqesh and Vishal. The family shared a long note, in which they highlighted that Raqesh chose to be a part of the reality show because of the host, Riteish Deshmukh. The family also revealed that Raqesh has maintained his dignity throughout the show.
Further, the family highlighted the rules of Bigg Boss Marathi 6 and explained that contestants are not allowed to bring personal matters in arguments; however, Vishal, according to them, has often violated the rules. The family also shared that Vishal and Raqesh did not just have a verbal fight, it also escalated to physical aggression. A part of their note can be read as:
"It is important to highlight that as per the rules and legal contract of the Bigg Boss house, contestants are strictly prohibited from discussing or targeting personal matters from outside the house. Any such violation can lead to serious consequences, including removal from the show. Despite this, Vishal Kotian has repeatedly violated this rule, from the beginning of the show and this time, the matter has crossed all acceptable boundaries. This stands as a serious and unacceptable breach of the show's code of conduct."
Towards the end of the note, Raqesh Bapat’s family shared that they are highly disappointed with what happened between the actor and Vishal Kotian. They further mentioned that they have high hopes from the makers of the show and the host to take a stand against this. They shared:
"As a family, we are deeply disturbed and disappointed. His fans are also hugely disappointed.We appreciate the efforts by Bigg Boss Marathi, Colours and EndemolShine but urge them to set the right example to uphold the dignity of this highly popular show watched by millions of families in Maharashtra. We also trust the host, Mr. Ritesh Deshmukh to take a serious note of these violations.Raqesh has always stood for calm strength, dignity, and self-respect. Our family, friends and fans stand firmly by him. – Family of Raqesh Bapat."
For those who do not know, Raqesh Bapat was previously married to much-loved actress, Ridhi Dogra. The two tied the knot in 2011; however, after a few years, in 2019, they decided to part ways. It is worth mentioning that even after their divorce, they have often spoken fondly about each other. A few weeks ago, on Bigg Boss Marathi 6, Raqesh had shared that Ridhi still is his best friend. Apart from this, a few days ago, Ridhi took to her IG handle to express her support towards her ex-husband and stated that she is very happy and proud of Raqesh.
