Soon police were informed and they took Hilton to hospital.
There were rumours that Perez passed away, but as per the latest reports, Perez spoke his first words. As per an insider, Perez’s first word from the hospital after he livestreamed self-harm were, ‘I need help.’ As per Daily Mail, an insider close to the family revealed that Perez is in lot of pain but is ‘stable and alert’.
The insider also claimed that he has his doubts whether Perez remembers about the incident as before the incident, the blogger ‘was acting normal’. Speaking about the same, he shared:
“He’s a man in a lot of pain. I think right now he’s focused on the physical, but it’s all tied together. No one deserves the torment he’s going through. But I don’t think he’s quite self-aware enough yet. He’s still in a dark place as I understand it. Just very very sad.”
It was on August 4, 2026, that the celebrity blogger, who was born Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., went live on the social media site TikTok for roughly 15 minutes. Hilton took to his TikTok live, covered in blood, harming himself with a knife, repeatedly saying, "This is what you wanted." Soon, police were called to his place, and the blogger was taken to the hospital.
In a statement, Perez’s family penned about the unfortunate incident and admitted how unbearable the past several days have been for the family, the statement shared that Perez Hilton's children were in the house before the livestream happened. However, they managed to leave before things got bad. The statement read:
“The events of the past several days have been nearly unbearable for our family. Just minutes before the public livestream incident, Perez’s children, niece, and sister were inside the home. When it became clear that Perez was experiencing a severe mental health crisis and harming himself, they immediately fled to protect the children from witnessing any further trauma."
Hilton is a father to three children named Mario Armando Lavandeira III, Mia Alma, and Mayte Amor. He welcomed all three of his children via surrogacy. According to reports, Hilton welcomed his first child, Mario Armando Lavandeira III, in February 2013 via a gestational surrogate. He then welcomed his second child, Mia Alma Lavandeira, in June 2015, followed by his youngest, Mayte Amor Lavandeira, born in October 2017.
It was only a few months back when Perez Hilton opened up about his near-fatal health crisis. In a video, he detailed the incident and revealed that he had the flu; however, he claimed that his own 'stupidity' led him to a 21-day hospitalization. According to Perez, while he is not someone who abuses things, he was taking the flu medicines on an empty stomach, for which he developed an ulcer, then a perforation, and then sepsis.
