Nicole Taylor was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2022. According to her sister, it was an aggressive form of cancer. Initially, her body responded well to the treatment. At one point, the doctors told her that there was no evidence of the disease in her body. However, her health began to decline when the cancer advanced to stage four.
Nika and Natalie recalled the moment when they found out about Nicole's cancer diagnosis. Natalie mentioned that she was completely shocked because their family usually enjoyed good health. Recalling how she cried and ran into the hallway to find Nika, she said:
"I just remember breaking down in absolute shock. I was just so surprised. We've been blessed with good health our whole life, so this was a big shock, and it wasn't what we were expecting. I was crying and ran out to the hallway to tell Nika..."
Although the diagnosis left Nika and Nicole frightened, Nicole herself had a different attitude. According to Natalie, Nicole's reaction was rooted in faith, and she simply told her sister, "God's gonna use this for his glory." The late singer had also encouraged her family not to spend their time living in fear. She carried this outlook throughout her treatment, even when her cancer progressed.
Natalie recalled that before a critical surgery, she was scared for her sister, but Nicole reassured her. It helped her stay strong. The sisters admitted that they always thought that Nicole would recover. So, her death came as a shock to everyone. Still, they are finding comfort in their faith and by knowing that Nicole is no longer suffering.
Nika and Natalie revealed that their sister was also hopeful of her recovery. She used to travel, work, enjoy life, and even continued doing CrossFit. All this while, she was also undergoing chemotherapy, but faced it bravely. But eventually, she lost the battle of life.
