Nandish Sandhu opened up about Indian cricketer, Smriti Mandhana's broken marriage with Palaash Muchhal and how he was one of the guests there.
Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhanna have been in the news since December 2025. It all happened after the ex-couple called off their wedding at the last moment. The wedding was called off after Smriti's father dealt with a medical emergency, following the groom's hospitalisation. Now, one of the guests, actor, Nandish Sandhu talked about their broken marriage.
Nandish Sandhu, for the first time, revealed that he was invited to the wedding of Palaash and Smriti, which was called off at the last moment. He shared that he cannot speculate the noise around Palaash and Smriti's wedding, which was cancelled at the last moment. Nandish shared that he was invited for the wedding and was about to attend it when he got to know that it was not happening at the moment. Nandish further shared that he was informed that the wedding was postponed due to medical emergency in Smriti's family. He said:
"I’d gone for the wedding. That didn’t happen. And I just got to know that it’s not happening at the moment. It’s postponed because what came out in the news, the same thing was there. Conveyed to you guys. Conveyed to everybody. Smriti’s dad wasn’t well. He was in the hospital. And that’s why everything has been postponed."
Nandish added that it was much later when those developments were made it to the news and he felt really bad about it, and how the situation unfolded publicly. He further revealed that no matter why the wedding was called off, he had seen the two in love since past five-six years. He said:
"Whatever the reason might have been, the wedding didn’t happen. And you know, I’ve seen the love. I’ve seen how madly they were in love for the last five, six years. They were such a cute, nice couple."
On December 7, 2025, Smriti Mandhana shared a note confirming that her wedding with Palaash Muchhal is called off. She requested privacy for both families. Soon, the ace cricketer unfollowed Palaash on Instagram. Not only Smriti, but Palaash also unfollowed her. After a few weeks of speculations and unverified gossip, the cricketer finally broke her silence on the same. She took to her Instagram stories and penned how her personal life became national news. However, she clarified that despite being a private person, she needed to make it clear that her wedding is called off. She wrote:
"Over the past few weeks there has been plenty of speculation around my life and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person and I would like to keep it that way but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off. I would like to close this matter here and implore all of you to do the same. I request you to please respect the privacy of both families at this time and allow us the space to process and move on at our own pace."
After Smriti Mandhana shared the note, confirming that her wedding was called off, Palaash Muchhal also shared an IG story. He confirmed that he has decided to move on in his life and step back from his relationship. He called it the most difficult phase and pointed out how people react to baseless rumours. He further threatens to take legal action against defamatory content about him.
