Serena Williams is all set to make her comeback at Wimbledon. For those unaware, she is returning to singles competition for the first time in nearly four years. She had played her final competitive match at the US Open in 2022 before announcing her return once again. While fans cannot wait to see her back in action on the court, many have also become curious about her personal life. Well, Serena is married to Alexis Ohanian and is a proud mother of two daughters.

Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. is Serena Williams' older daughter

Serena welcomed her older daughter, Olympia, on September 1, 2017. At the time, she shared the news on her Instagram, writing, "Welcome, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr., we're happy to meet you...Our little girl is already mama's perfect sidekick." Serena had previously announced her pregnancy on Snapchat, showing off her baby bump at about 20 weeks along.

According to Serena, when Olympia turned 4, she began taking piano lessons. The tennis icon noted that her daughter had a strong love for music over sports. She revealed that this could be because, when she was pregnant with Olympia, she played a lot of piano music.

Apart from piano, Olympia has several other interests, such as ballet, soccer, and VR gaming. She also likes taking golf lessons with her dad. During an interview, Alexis said that he and Serena love watching Olympia explore a variety of interests. He said:

"I do think she's a mix of both creative and athletic right now. Mini golf was her thing a year or so ago, and then we got her proper golfing lessons, and she's loved it. On the creative side, she loves to dance. Maybe that's where she'll land — somewhere in the creative end and athletic ... Like any parent, we just want her to have fun, and we're fortunate enough to be able to expose her to anything she could be interested in.”

Many might not be aware, but Olympia is already a co-owner of two sports teams. When she was just 2 and a half years old, she became the co-owner of the women's soccer team, Angel City Football Club. Later, she became a co-owner of the Los Angeles Golf Club.

Adira River Ohanian is Serena Williams' second daughter

Serena first announced that she was pregnant with Adira when she attended the Met Gala alongside her husband in May 2023. Posting a photo of her and Alexis from the night, she said that she was so excited that Anna Wintour invited the three of them to the Met Gala. The couple welcomed their younger daughter, Adira River Ohanian, on August 15, 2023.

Predictions about how Serena Williams will perform at Wimbledon

Serena’s return to the court after 4 years has left many fans wondering how she will fare in her matches. Now, before her first matches, experts, Chris Eubanks and D’Arcy Maine have revealed how they think Serena will fare at Wimbledon. According to Chris, Serena has a great draw and a great opportunity.

Her first match is against Maya Joint and it will give viewers an idea about how she is doing physically. Chris said that he is also interested in seeing how he deals with the nerves but believes that Serena definitely has a good chance to make it to the third round. And if she continues to build her confidence from there on, her opponents need to watch out. Meanwhile, D’Arcy claimed:

"Sure, she hasn't played a singles match in almost four years but this is the Serena Williams we're talking about. And because she is playing Joint -- a 20-year-old appearing in just her second main draw at the All England Club -- in her opener, a victory with a supportive crowd behind her feels more than probable. However, things will get significantly harder for her from there.”
